Win a Trip to Fashion Week, Plus: Free Designer Wardrobe!

Posted by babu 2:09pm GMT

When I first heard news that designer Adam Lippes was coming to virtual wardrobing portal Roiworld this month, I nearly jumped on my seat Tom Cruise-style. For those of you who aren't familiar with the multi-award winning American fashion designer and Fashion Week regular, he formerly held the position of Global Creative Director for Oscar de la Renta, becoming one of the youngest to hold this position in the luxury fashion world, before starting his own clothing label, Adampluseve, in 2004, now called ADAM (he's also created collections for retailers like MANGO and is known for his extensive philanthropic works).

Check out clothing from the Adam Lippes fall collection in Roiworld's Cozy Chic virtual closet. Plus, enter to win a trip for two to see the designer's runway show during New York Fashion Week in February and a $1,000 ADAM wardrobe, now!

Best Dressed of the 2009 Emmys

Posted by babu 10:58am GMT

While our Best Dressed picks from the 2009 Emmys may not have taken home any gold statues last night, their first-rate style definitely stole the show. (See all the stunning dresses spotted on the Emmy red carpet in my new Emmy Lookbook.)

January Jones made a point of going for a modern Versace number to differentiate her style from her "Mad Men" character. Heidi Klum coordinated her Marchesa gown (custom made to accommodate her baby bump) to husband Seal's black tuxedo, while Christina Applegate chose an exotic deep blue dress by Lebanese designer Basil Soda.

Blake Lively in a down-to-there Versace number still managed to stand out from the matching red carpet. "Ugly Betty's" Vanessa Williams wore a flattering blue Rafael Cennamo gown, while Drew Barrymore (nominated for her part in HBO's "Grey Gardens" hit movie) floated down the red carpet in a dreamy peach chiffon Monique Lhuillier design.

Whose 2009 Emmy style do you prefer?

Eva Longoria Parker's Fashion Marathon at the 2009 ALMA Awards

Posted by babu 5:35pm GMT

Now here’s a girl who LOVES red-carpet fashion as much as we do. For her annual hosting gig for the ALMA Awards,
Eva Longoria Parker (who’s also an executive producer for the show) changed eight times last night, giving us lots of gorgeous fashion to gush over. (BTW, her stylist, Robert Verdi, told us ALL the dresses are by Latino designers — natch — from Oscar de la Renta to new up-and-coming fashion stars.)

See all eight of Eva's dresses in my lookbook and get a sneak peek at the Best Tressed stars on the ALMA red carpet.

And, don’t forget to leave a comment to win the same ALMA Awards Gift Bag (worth over $1,000) that stars Salma Hayek, Selena Gomez, Mario Lopez and Eva La Rue received.

Then, stay tuned for an EXCLUSIVE All The Looks Insider Q&A with Eva’s stylist, Robert Verdi, who will reveal how he chose all those dresses, give tips for how to get Eva's red-carpet style and “mucho mas.”

Dare to Wear: Victoria Rowell

Posted by babu 12:42pm GMT

Just because it's supportive doesn't mean it's stylish. Whereas this Obama-rama gown worn by Victoria Rowell would've been semi-appropriate for the campaign trail or the Inaugural Ball (let's be honest, even that's a stretch), it certainly wasn't befitting for last night's Primetime Emmy Awards.

First lady Michelle didn't become a style icon by wearing Barack-head baubles...

Would you dare to wear this look?

Introducing: The VH1 Divas

Posted by babu 12:17pm GMT

After a five year hiatus, VH1 Divas Live, created in 1999 to raise money for the VH1 Save the Music Foundation, came back last night with a bang, thanks to "the divas" (left to right) Jennifer Hudson, Jordin Sparks, Kelly Clarkson, Leona Lewis, Adele, Miley Cyrus and no other than top diva (and show host) Paula Abdul.

Leave it to the divas to top off their own performances with one glitter garment after another. Stay tuned for my top VH1 Divas looks...

Dare to Wear: Cate Blanchett

Posted by babu 6:15pm GMT

Perhaps even more curious than the "case of Benjamin Button" is the case of Cate Blanchett's wardrobe. No stranger to taking fashion risks, the actress has been wowing crowds as of recent in sparkling sensations ala "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" premieres and Paris Fashion Week.

Then, Cate shows up in this crochet catastrophe at the "Screen Worlds" exhibition opening in Melbourne, Australia. Hey, at least she looks warm.

Would you dare to wear this look?

Lost Kardashian…Is Victoria Beckham Kris Jenner’s Mini-Me?

Posted by babu 3:25pm GMT

With her dark pixie cut, a year-round tan, a penchant for high heels, and star-athlete hubbie, could Victoria Beckham be related to “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” mom Kris Jenner?

Both women are in the fashion biz, live in LA, and have a brood of kids, so if they should ever decide to meet up, they would have plenty to talk about. Just introduce a few films crews into any potential meeting and BFF friendship, and you have the makings of the next addictive reality show.

Think these two would get along? Sound off in the comment section below.
