Red-Carpet Recap: "Sex and the City 2" Premiere - UK

Now THIS is more like it! Sarah Jessica Parker and company stepped out for the "Sex and the City 2" premiere in the UK today, at which I was excited to see the stars working what SJP might call "the sparkle."

SJP killed it in a dramatic Alexander McQueen gown, which she accessorized with some heavy (and highly-anticipated) head gear (created by Philip Treacy). As in the case of the New York premiere, Kristin Davis came in close second wearing a metallic Norman Norell number.

While I was expecting a tad more sparkle from Kim Cattrall, she managed to dazzle nonetheless in a classic sweetheart gown with a jeweled brooch at the waist. I was dissappointed to see Cynthia Nixon trail behind (as she did at the New York premiere) in a sky blue gown with minimal detailing, especially since her character went through such a style transformation in the film.

Quick-Change Artists: Sarah Jessica Parker and Kristin Davis

Sarah Jessica Parker and Kristin Davis bagged their red-carpet brights and slipped into something a little more revealing for the "SATC 2" Premiere After-Party.

SJP's after-party style consisted of a lacy Elie Saab number and bright blue Nicholas Kirkwood heels, whereas Kristin kept it slinky in a metallic Pierre Balmain Couture dress. Both ladies stayed true to their red-carpet hairstyles throughout the night.

Red-Carpet Recap: "Sex and the City 2" Premiere in New York

It's finally here! The much-anticipated "Sex and the City 2" premiere took place in New York Monday night and, after personally speaking to SATC2 stylist Patricia Field about what's been deemed the franchise's most fashionable feat yet, it appears the cast saved all the drama for the big screen this time around.

While I wasn't exactly disappointed to see a lack of acorns abound, I felt the stars' bright and shiny sheaths fell somewhat flat.

My favorite look had to be that of SJP, who wore a neon yellow Valentino Couture chiffon number. The rest of the fab four consisted of Cynthia Nixon in Carolina Herrera, Kristin Davis in a hot pink Jean Desses gown and Kim Cattrall rocking a plunging Naeem Khan number.

Some of my fave looks included those of Elizabeth Banks (in Atelier Versace), Mary J. Blige (in a sparkling cream gown) and Emily Blunt, who wowed in a fire engine-red Georges Chakra Edition gown.

Red-Carpet Recap: 2010 World Music Awards

Hayden Panettiere, Paris Hilton and Jennifer Lopez were among celebs who attended the 2010 World Music Awards last night.

JLo, who also performed at the event, walked the red carpet in a plunging Roberto Cavalli gown, while Hayden opted for a printed sheath and Paris showed off her softer side in a blush-colored gown and pumps.

Some of my favorite looks included those of Paris Hilton (in a strapless, sapphire blue gown), Kate Beckinsale (in a Grecian-inspired Temperley London gown) and Marion Cotillard, who braved a sparkling Lefranc Ferrant jumper.

The good times continue to roll as celebs like Aishwarya Rai, Carey Mulligan and Eva Longoria make an appearance for Cannes Film Festival: Day 2.

Aishwarya (in Armani Privé) and Eva (in Naeem Khan) both opted for beautifully beaded gowns, while Carey kept it simple in a belted sheath.

My favorite looks included those of Whitney Port (in a bright yellow Rachel Roy sheath), Vanessa Hudgens (in a silk mini and gladiator heels) and Ashley Greene (who showed off her bod in a bright polka-dotted dress and peep-toes).

63rd Annual Cannes International Film Festival - Opening Night

Let the trains begin...

As usual, high drama was the name of the game when it came to opening night at the 63rd Annual Cannes International Film Festival.

My favorite looks included those of Kate Beckinsale, who looked absolutely gorgeous in a Marchesa gown with tulle criss-cross detailing that reminded me of that worn by Penelope Cruz at last year's Cannes Festival, and Eva Longoria, who rocked a ruffled Emilio Pucci (also with drapery along the bodice).

They shared the spotlight with Salma Hayek (in a ruby-red Gucci Couture gown) and Cate Blanchett (in Alexander McQueen).
