Vanessa Hudgens was in full hippie mode in a belled shirt and pant duo at the Anna Sui show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2011.

She topped off her swinging style with a braided hairband and curls.

Trend to Try: Wearing Clothing Backwards

Looking for a fresh way to wear some of your old wardrobe standbys? Take a cue from celebs like Vanessa Hudgens, Ali Fedotowsky and Amanda Seyfried and wear a dress or shirt (maybe lay off the pants) with an interesting cut or detail along the back and wear it backwards!

If you don't have anything in your closet that will work, keep an eye out for reversable styles, such as the Miss Firecracker Skirt at modcloth.com, in the future.

Red-Carpet Recap: "Charlie St. Cloud" Premiere (Los Angeles)

Young stars shone bright at last night's "Charlie St. Cloud" premiere in Los Angeles.

My two favorite looks of the night belonged to Brittany Snow, in a digital-print black and white sheath and neon yellow sandals, and Vanessa Hudgens, who showed up in support of beau Zac Efron wearing a champagne-colored Reem Acra dress and silver sandals to match the dress's sparkling neckline.

While I loved leading lady Amanda Crew's sequined miniskirt, I wasn't sold on her sheer, tuxedo-style blouse. Garcelle Beauvais kept it classic in a black sheath and gladiator heels.

Red-Carpet Recap: The Nylon Young Hollywood Party

Some of Hollywood's freshest (and fiercest) celebs came out for the Nylon Young Hollywood Party in Los Angeles last night.

My favorite looks included those of Whitney Port (in a bright yellow Rachel Roy sheath), Vanessa Hudgens (in a silk mini and gladiator heels) and Ashley Greene (who showed off her bod in a bright polka-dotted dress and peep-toes).

Rule Breakers or Trend Makers: Super-Sized Sweaters

Forget flannel, plaid and hoodies. When it come to lazy Sundays and wet winter days, stars are cozying up to giant over-sized sweaters to create low key, laid back looks.

Model and mom Claudia Schiffer pulled out her Fall 2008 Malene Birger knit from the back of the closet in order to drop the kids off at school in London.

Also in London, celeb fashion designer Stella McCartney wears one of her own creations (for sale, here, for 50% off), to run errands on a rainy day.

And adorable Vanessa Hudgens topped her floral frock with an overgrown cardi while on a coffee run in LA a few weeks ago.

With the start of the new year, don't be so quick to toss those destroyed denim jeans you picked up over the summer.
Way back in early fall, hip stars Audrina Patridge and Taylor Momsen were seen running errands in the well-worn look.

But in just the past two days, both trend-makers Whitney Port AND Vanessa Hudgen were seen still carrying a torch for this still-hot jeans style.
