Red-Carpet Recap: Nickelodeon's 2011 Kids' Choice Awards

Posted by babu 5:27pm GMT

Starlets kept it clean (and cool) at Nickelodeon's 2011 Kids' Choice Awards.

Some of the most notable red-carpet looks included those of Heidi Klum (who looked chic, and a bit edgy, in a Gucci LBD with heavy embellishments along the shoulders and collar and platform wedges), Selena Gomez (who kept it casual in a pastel-splashed, geometric tank and short ensemble from Christian Cota) and Miley Cyrus (who ditched her hipster duds for a breezy Dolce & Gabbana maxi dress).

The Hilton sisters looked abnormally conservative (and un-flashy), blending into the background in neutral dresses and accessories.

Who was your best-dressed at the 2011 Kids' Choice Awards?

Heidi Klum's Mirrored Gown: Love It or Leave It?

Posted by babu 5:25pm GMT

Mirror, mirror on the wall: who's the fairest of them all?

"Project Runway's" own Heidi Klum stole the spotlight in a metallic Julien Macdonald gown covered with what looked like shattered mirror fragments at the 19th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party.

Never one to dull down a statement-making style, she topped off her look with iridescent Christian Louboutin pumps and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

What's your take on Heidi's light-reflecting look?

This Week's Fab Five

Posted by babu 2:36pm GMT

This week was all about colorful gowns. And the winners are...

Rihanna
in Christian Dior at the 2011 BRIT Awards. Rihanna popped in this multipatterned, multitextured, multicolored masterpiece, which she further amped up with matching teal pumps.

Heidi Klum in Julien MacDonald at the 2011 Grammy Awards. The "Project Runway" star exuded old Hollywood glam from head to toe in this gleaming, gold gown, which boasted sexy cutouts along the shoulders and in back.

Thandie Newton in Monique Lhuillier at the 2011 BAFTA Awards. The actress oozed romance in this rosette-print, paint splashed taffeta gown, which she paired with modest jewelry and a chic chignon.

Jessica Alba in Atelier Versace at the 2011 BAFTA Awards. Jessica looked the part of a tribal princess in this royal blue gown with intricate ruching along the corset-like bodice. I also love the actress's exotic necklace and ring pairing.

Nicole Kidman in Jean Paul Gaultier at the 2011 Grammy Awards. I'm not exactly Nicole's biggest fan when it comes to the red-carpet, but even I can't deny that she looked gorgeous in this gardenesque gown, which concluded with a partially-sheer and ruffled fishtail train.

Which star's red-carpet look is most glamorous?

Best Dressed at the 2011 Grammy Awards

Posted by babu 5:31pm GMT

Metallic, sexy, feminine, flirty and bold. Each one of these Grammy dresses differs from the others. But the one thing they do have in common is landing a place on our Best-Dressed list!

Heidi Klum in Julien Macdonald: Metallic dresses were one of the major trends of the evening, but the supermodel stood out from the rest of the glittering girls in this curve-hugging sequined gown.

Jennifer Hudson in Versace: We’re the first to admit that J. Hud can do no wrong in our books, but even if we weren’t obsessed with her, we’d still love this asymmetrical gown with sparkling bodice. We’re secretly hoping a designer will jump on the knock-off bandwagon and create a version of this confection for those of us who can’t afford the real deal.

Nicole Kidman in Jean Paul Gaultier: Mrs.Urban proves that you don’t need to look flashy or show some serious skin to make a fashion statement at the Grammy Awards. This petal print straight-from-the runway gown had us at…howdy?

Kelly Osbourne in Tadashi Shoji: Kelly Osbourne on our Best-Dressed list? Yup! In a frilly lavender frock? Uh-huh! There’s something about this flirty and feminine design that spoke to us. We’re just as shocked about it as you are!

Keri Hilson in Basil Soda: Hilson looked electric in this strapless blue mini with silver detailing. It has a certain superhero quality to it, and yet it doesn’t look too costume-y.

Don't forget to check out more photos from the big evening, including our Worst-Dressed list and our Hair Hits and Misses gallery.

This Week's Fab Five

Posted by babu 11:16am GMT

This week was all about the perfect party dress. And the winners are...

Jennifer Lopez in Haute Hippie at the Venus Goddess Razor Global Ambassador unveiling. As usual, J.Lo achieved a head-to-toe glow in this nude blouse and sequined wrap-skirt dup, which she topped off with jewels and Christian Louboutin pumps.

Rachel Bilson in Burberry Prorsum at the "Waiting for Forever" premiere. Leather trimming added a sexy touch to this otherwise girly, ruffled-chiffon dress, which the actress topped off with ankle-strap pumps.

Heidi Klum in Rachel Roy at Lucky's March Issue Celebration. Posh gets a playful makeover in this magenta-streaked sheath. The fearless fashionista pumped up the volume even more with strappy sandals and a set of cage rings.

Ginnifer Goodwin in Monique Lhuillier at the Children Awaiting Parents event. The always put-together "Big Love" actress looked like a piece of art in this color-splashed and tinsel-accented, illusionary-inset dress, which she brightened up with red peep-toes.

Kim Kardashian in an asymmetrical gold mini at the Kardashian Glam Pack of Silly Bandz Launch Party. Kim appeared to be having a Lady Gaga moment in this origami-style, foam dress and, while somewhat out of character, I think her overall look (which also also consisted of gold jewel detailing and nude platforms) worked.

Heidi Klum's Cage Rings: Love 'Em or Leave 'Em?

Posted by babu 5:22pm GMT

"Project Runway" and "Seriously Funny Kids" host Heidi Klum made a statement in a streaky, magenta Rachel Roy sheath and a rather peculiar set of cage rings at Lucky's March Issue Celebration.

While unconventional, I think that in light of the fact that she kept her makeup to a minimum (love those metallic nails!) and forewent jewelry everywhere else, her daring digits worked well with her overall look.

What's your take on Heidi's daring digits?

Heidi Klum for Lucky March 2011

Posted by babu 2:21pm GMT

What would Heidi Klum wear if she were trapped on a desert island and awaiting a visit from her husband? "A pair of Louboutins...That's it!"

The "Project Runway" phenom and host of Lifetime's new show "Seriously Funny Kids" opens up about her biggest style icon, her favorite shopping partner and more as the cover girl for Lucky's March 2011 issue.

On the cover, Heidi is the epitome of girly glam in a bright pink Philosophy Di Alberta Ferretti dress, accessorized with a bevy of jewels, including an Alexis Bittar clutch and Druzy Sterling Silver Two Finger ring from Jasmine Pennamma.

Inside (bottom left), she can be found looking red-hot in a Plastic Island Cosima strapless dress amped up with tribal statement jewelry.

This Week's Fab Five

Posted by babu 6:24pm GMT

This week was all about super flirty, some flowy. And the winners are...

Diane Kruger
in Gucci at the Gucci Rue Royale Reopening Party in Paris. Every once in a while, Diane switches up her "ladies who lunch" Chanel frocks with something a little daring, and I love it! The allover gold plating on this halter dress ooze tribal chic, and the actress's matching sandals prove the perfect complement.

Kate Bosworth in Dolce & Gabbana at the 2011 Creative Coalition Spotlight Initiative Awards in Utah. I love how the actress added a rustic, brown belt to really round out this otherwise fru-fru frock.

Jessica Alba in Gucci at the Gucci Rue Royale Reopening Party in Paris. This is one of those red carpet dresses that screams "I've still got it" or, in Miss Alba's case, "I never lost it." My only regret is that this sparkly, asymmetrical sensation wasn't around during the star's "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer" days, as it would've made for the perfect premiere piece.

Caroline Sieber in Louis Vuitton at the Sidaction Gala Dinner in Paris. While the loose fit, lace fabric and feminine shape of the stylist's recent ensemble lend themselves to a softer, more feminine look, the bold color pairing is truly refreshing.

Heidi Klum in Marchesa at the InStyle Best of British Talent BAFTA Party in London. Between it's illusionary inset neckline, allover beading and feathered accents, this dress is as flirty as it is fierce! The Project Runway host topped off her playful piece with open-toe booties.

Which star's flirty frock is your fave?

Red-Carpet Recap: 2010 American Music Awards

Posted by babu 3:50pm GMT

Celebs proved they aren't shy in a variety of sheer (and short) ensembles at the 2010 American Music Awards.

Some of the most notable looks included those of Fergie (who got leggy in a cobalt, feathered bodice from Falguni and Shane Peacock), Rihanna (who appeared "red-y" for anything in a sheer, crimson-colored Elie Saab gown with allover floral embroidering) and Heidi Klum (who looked beautiful in a lacy LBD, aka "Long" Black Dress, with a black and red sash around the waist).

Also among celebs were Miley Cyrus (who was wrapped to ravish in a Marchesa bandage dress) and Katy Perry (who bloomed in a blush-colored Badgley Mischka gown with allover floral appliques).

Which star's sexy style is your fave?
