I’m Obsessed With...Trendy Tuxedo Jackets

Is it because awards season has officially kicked off that I am completely obsessed with topping all my looks with a menswear-inspired tuxedo jacket?

In London, the equally talented singer sister of Kylie Minogue, Danni Minogue, wore her satin suit topper to cruise through the airport, which proves the look is not just for red carpet events.

Eva Mendes makes a demure 3.1 Phillip Lim lace dress more contemporary by combining it with an unexpected shark-skin blazer from the same designer.

And while Olivia Wilde's classic suit look is a chic take on the dapper menswear style, I am craving Jenny McCarthy's edgier silhouette created by the strong shoulder of her Balmain jacket.

I’m Obsessed With: Lace Insets

Sugar and spice and everything nice, that's what a little lace can add to any look. Too much lace and your style is too frou-frou; but with just a touch of the sheer fabric, a black dress (or white one, as seen on Whitney Port this past week) takes on a certain sexy yet demure appeal.

While actress Gretchen Mol's dress used just a touch of lace to play up her decolletage , "Glee" star Dianna Agron turns up the volume of her LBD with both a lace bustier and wild feathers.

Eva Longoria Parker must have been a very good girl this year! Did Santa deliver the killer over-the-knee boots, saucy fedora and the gorgeous luxe bag that she wore to watch husband Tony Parker, of the San Antonio Spurs, play basketball in NYC last night?

While her OTK boots and fedora are two of Fall’s hottest trends, a NAVY bag (hers is a pricey Hermes “Birkin” style) looks set to take over as the next new must-have accessory.

I’m Obsessed With: Stars' Casual Cool Looks for Cold Weather

From bombers to bulky knits, I just can’t get enough of these stars' latest cold-weather fashion magic. With a little attention to accessories, each of these low-key layered looks is easy to replicate and are worth testing out.

In LA, Christina Aguilera trades the standard black bomber for a sapphire green version and bold graphic scarf for extra warmth.

Most stylish mom Gwen Stefani is a fan of this military inspired trench in loden green – perfect for toting son Zuma (pictured) around chilly London. Stefani also ties on a scarf, but hers is in muted shades of grey.

For LA’s cooler but not cold temps, Diane Kruger's chunky double-breasted “grandpa” sweater is anything but stodgy. The cool knit paired with leggings gives off a Parisian gamine look.

Keira Knightley’s shearling Burberry coat is just the right shade of warm cocoa to compliment a pair of pale denim skinnies.

I’m Obsessed With: Katharine McPhee’s Cool Weekend Wear

While I was never too crazy about Katharine McPhee’s new platinum ‘do, I never wavered on loving her perfect red carpet style. And just yesterday, I was swooning over the cool casual outfit she put together to promote her new cd.

Her look was so effortless and made up of pieces that most of us already own (or items that are on our Fall Fashion Shopping List), like a black tunic; dark solid leggings; versatile work-to-weekend boots; a moto jacket and a cool carry all (hers is a $1900 about YSL “Muse” bag”). I also love how her styling –especially her hair – mimics the retro vibe of her cd cover!

I’m Obsessed With: Zoe Saldana’s Perfect Casual Date Look

Could a single outfit possibly overtake my infamous Kate Moss style obsession? Answer: Yes! Especially when it is an oh-so-Kate-Moss look worn by the equally chic “Avatar” star Zoe Saldana.

For a visit to “The Late Show with David Letterman” in NYC yesterday, Saldana went for a sexy but sassy ensemble in white pants, grey tunic and a sharp, well-cut (and versatile) cropped navy blazer. While the overall look is classic, the leather-like pants up the chic (and cool) factor 10-fold!

I’m Obsessed With: Roland Mouret’s Curve-Highlighting Designs

Designer Roland Mouret first burst on the red carpet scene when curvy star Scarlett Johansson and also stick thin Victoria Beckham both wore his dresses a few years back and looked spectacular.

Since then, Mr. Mouret has continued to create his trademark dresses that take advantage of a woman’s every curve or, magically, create curves where none seem to exist.

His figure-flattering plum dress was the perfect choice for a curvier Heidi Klum (who had her baby girl on October 9) for a party for the designer last night at the Chateau Marmont in LA.

Even petite star Zoe Saldana stood out at the “Avatar” premier with an out-of-this-world hourglass shape helped along by one of his dramatic dresses. While Cameron Diaz rocked the red carpet in a midnight knee-length number back in November.

I’m Obsessed With: Sarah Jessica Parker's Pink Premiere

Pink dresses (as we reported a few days ago) are the new stars of the red carpet, but leave it to true trendsetter Sarah Jessica Parker to take fuchsia fashion, at the premiere of her film "What About The Morgans" last night, to a new level. With her funky fedora, stellar satin stilettos and charming vintage-style snake choker, "SJP" could easily stand for "Stylish-and-Jaunty-in-Pink."

There is just so much style packed into SJP's outfit, it deserves a serious head-to-toe review:

- THAT hat! Pink to match the dress and destined to be the next "Carrie" necklace that was spotted on SJP style followers years back.

- SJP wears whimsical flowers on her lapel, which reminds us of our beloved style icon Carrie Bradshaw.

- The stone-inlaid snake necklace is a signature look for Sarah, who often pairs vintage accessories with her designer dresses.

- Her pink L'Wren Scott dress is sweeter than sweet and would be such a great look for any party over the next six months (make sure to get hold of a similar style for Valentine's Day, for sure!)

- The effect of seeing her stunning plum suede platforms can be expressed in just two words: "We die!"

I’m Obsessed With: Gwen Stefani's Cool Fall Style

When cold weather hits, it's hard not to take a style hiatus and hide for a few months under coats and layers until spring returns. But a frigid temperature is no excuse for style icon Gwen Stefani, who consistently keeps her cool while keeping warm.

Her recent cold-weather looks combine classic colors of black, gray and white -- but always with an added twist.

On November 16, Gwen attended a charity Christmas party in Malibu in a ruched-shoulder jacket and cool nude heels. And a few days later, for another LA party, Gwen purposely let a burst of color pop out from her camisole to add more interest to a trendy but still classic black dress.

And for a stroll with her youngest son, Zuma, in London this week, plain dark leggings or jeggings wouldn't do for the singer. She turned up the volume on the trend with a bold graphic print to break up the black of her turtleneck, jacket and riding boots.

Well, if you weren’t listing then, trust me, this is a fashion investment that you won’t regret.

Not only will these buff beauties, like the pinkish hued sky-high platforms Katy Perry wore last night to the Grammy Nominations event and concert, go with everything in your closet (except running shorts), they lend a bit of polish and sophistication to even the shortest of skirts and tightest of dresses.
