Easy, breezy, beautiful Blake Lively. The actress was back to her boho, on-screen self while dressing the part of Serena van der Woodsen in Paris for "Gossip Girl" Season 4.

Some of my favorite, type "S" looks to have surfaced so far (from left to right) include:

-a sparkle-clad, Georges Chakra Spring 2010 Couture dress made street-friendly with a menswear blazer, oxfords and a fedora (note: from what I've seen, it appears Serena is going to be experimenting with hats A LOT in the new season)
-a mint green, ruffled wrap-dress from Haute Hippie, paired with beaded sandals and a nude tote
-a sequined Emilio Pucci blazer thrown over a white tank paired with bright blue, tapered Chloe pants
-high-waisted, wide-legged pants by Suno, paired with a tank in a similarly peachy shade and a taupe tote

In Blair Waldorf's Closet

After a small dry spell (make that drought), actress Leighton Meester finally got back to channeling her inner "Queen B" on the "Gossip Girl" Season 4 set in Paris last week.

Some of my favorite, Blair Waldorf-worthy looks, to have surfaced thus far (from left to right) include:

-an adorable, cherry- and apple-print bubble-hem dress from the Moschino Spring 2010 collection. The dress was paired with a light blue beret, purple handbag and cuff bracelets.
-a bright pink Marc Jacobs dress with an oversize bow along the bodice and Zanotti for Balmain gladiator sandals (and that same purple handbag)
- a vibrant purple dress with gold-embellished shawl and Christian Louboutin pumps
-an orange-red, organza Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2010 gown paired with a fuchsia clutch

Style Showdown: Blake vs. Jennifer

Watch out, J.Lo!

Just months after the singer wore a sparkling, champagne-colored Georges Chakra dress to the Us Weekly Hot Hollywood Party, Blake Lively was spotted rocking the "made-for-TV" version (complete with oxfords, blazer and fedora) on the "Gossip Girl" set in Paris.

While I appreciate the styling that went into Blake's ensemble, the dress appears to be more in its element on J.Lo. Paired with just the gold heels and clutch, the dress is able to really shine!

Dare to Wear: Jessica Szohr

I was perusing some shots taken on the "Gossip Girl" recently when I came across this photo of Jessica Szohr.

While I'm a big fan of the seemingly never ending animal print trend, as well as mixing prints in general, I can't say I'm impressed by Jessica's cheetah-on-tiger combo (or the studded pants billowing out of her boots).

I also appreciate the fact that her key accessory here is an instant photo of herself.

Dear Taylor Momsen,

This is our second letter asking you to ditch the shocking stockings. In the beginning, we thought the look was a flashy cheeky trend; but now we think it's just for flashing your cheeks.

And when you start to out-weird the Olsen twins when it comes to their bag-lady-meets-street-walker style, then it is definitely time for your fashion intervention.

Dare to Wear: Taylor Momsen

Dear Taylor Momsen,
If you feel a little wind chill throughout your entire thigh region it's most likely due to the fact that you are LITERALLY OUTSIDE!

The "Gossip Girl" actress, whose schooling apparently consists of studying Victoria's Secret catalogs, headed to the set in New York wearing thigh-high tights with garters and, well, that was pretty much it from the waist down.

What's great is that she appears to be shyly tugging at the bottom of her skirt in an attempt to cover more ground, as if she had no idea it was so short until being photographed. Get a room!

Trend to Try: Statement Tights

I don't know about you, but this fall I'm craving touch-me knits, bright booties, cropped jackets, and tights with a mind of their own. From magazine spreads to the runway, there's no question that bold mattes, fishnets and intricate designs are making a serious comeback this year. The big question is: Where do you draw the line between tasteful and tacky?

For a sexy, yet sophisticated, approach to the trend (I love those spotted on Blake Lively while filming for "Gossip Girl" above), stick to simple cutouts and rich hues (like deep burgundy, plum and forest green--I also love mustard for casual affairs). Or, for something more work-appropriate, opt for charcoal and heather greys (perfectly paired with a deep purple or cream sweater-dress).

A few of my personal favorite shopping destinations for tantalizing tights on a budget this year include...
Best for Work: Kohl's (their Vera Vera Wang collection is colorful, yet conservative)
Drool-Worthiest Designs: Target (think floral, fishnet and houndstooth sheering. Warning: they sell out FAST--I learned last year the hard way)
Most Variety: H&M (from leggings to legwarmers, they have it covered)
Coolest Colors: Hue (available at Macy's, their extensive line of shades ranges from blinding brights to earth tones)

On Sale Soon: Anna Sui for Target

True Blair Waldorf enthusiasts know how important it is to stay ahead of the fashion curve, so when they heard there was a Pop-Up Shop set up at the corner of 54th and Crosby St. last night selling the "Gossip Girl" themed Anna Sui for Target collection three days before it hits stores, they were there in a New York minute.

As if scoring designer duds ala Blair, Serena, Vanessa and Jenny for under $150 wasn't enough to inspire text blasts of joy, the "Gossip Girl" cast was there to help celebrate in style. While I love everything in the collection, I have my eyes on the "Blair" dress worn by Emma Stone (above).
