Second Helpings: Michelle Obama Reworks Her Mint J.Crew Skirt

Posted by kgranero 4:03pm GMT

As usual, Michelle Obama proved a class act in a gold blouse, mint green pencil skirt and beaded belt during her recent appearance on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno."

Anything look familiar?

The First Lady introduced us to her pastel J. Crew pencil skirt (with faint gingham detailing) during a trip to London back in spring 2009.

While Michelle looked pretty and polished on both occasions, I think her latest styling proved a bit more advanced (and a little more J. Crew-esque which, for me, is a compliment).

Do you think Michelle's style savvy is on the serious incline? Weigh in below!

Amanda Seyfried for Glamour March 2012

Posted by kgranero 3:07pm GMT

Glamour is shaking things up for its March 2012 issue, featuring a much roomier cover (that still manages to sneak in the essentials: Sex, Beauty, Shopping, Guys and Gossip) graced by Amanda Seyfried.

You'll also notice the actress (looking flirty in a floral Pierre Balmain top, Hudson jeans and Candy Ice amethyst and diamond earrings) is pictured in the bathroom, whereas Glamour cover backgrounds are usually kept solid.

Check out more photos from the cover spread (including a really glamorous swim shot) below, and find out what Amanda had to say about her latest love, working with Justin Timberlake and more at glamour.com.

Style Showdown: Nicole Kidman vs. Rachel McAdams

Posted by kgranero 12:38pm GMT

Nicole Kidman looked lovely in an embroidered Collette Dinnigan dress at the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards.

Rachel McAdams debuted the sheer-overlay sensation just one week prior at a photocall for her latest film "The Vow" in Germany.

Both ladies took a simple approach to styling this dress (and both looked breathtaking in it), so this one's a toss-up for me.

Who looked lovelier in lace?

Lily Collins for Seventeen March 2012

Posted by kgranero 5:35pm GMT

Lily Collins practically jumps off of Seventeen's March 2012 cover, on which she rocks a neon Nanette Lepore dress and a multicolored Dannijo collar necklace.

Inside the "Massive Shopping Guide!" issue, which officially hits newsstands Feb. 7, Lily talks about her new movie "Mirror, Mirror," making friends in Hollywood, and becoming more comfortable in her own skin:

"It used to bother me – having bigger, fuller brows. I even plucked them once so I'd fit in, but I hated them and couldn't wait for them to grow back. Now I embrace them. I've realized the quirky things that make you different are what make you beautiful."

Check out another photo from the shoot below, and find exclusive outtakes and more at seventeen.com.

Would You Like That Celine Bag Supersized?

Posted by kgranero 4:43pm GMT

While we've seen a good handful of celebs rocking the street-chic (and sizable) Celine Boston bag as of late, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley marks the first leading lady I've seen toting the carryall's "mini me."

Maybe it's because I saw the bigger version first, or because I have an appreciation for excess baggage, but I can't help but think Rosie's version looks too much like a lunch box.

When it comes to your handbags, do you prefer Miniature or King Size? Weigh in below!

Kardashians' Latest Denim Ad: Flashy or Trashy?

Posted by kgranero 4:59pm GMT

Whether watching their show or praising their style, I am typically one of the Kardashians' biggest supporters.

That said, I couldn't help but feel a TWINGE of annoyance when I came across the sisters' latest Kardashian Kollection denim ad.

In a post titled "We Banned Tops from Our Denim Shoot!" on Kourtney K's personal blog (which I follow pretty loyally), the oldest sis and second-time-mother-to-be exclaims:

"This is a brand new shot from our Kardashian Kollection denim shoot, shot by the wonderful Nick Saglimbeni!! We banned tops from the shoot! Jeans only baby!!! lol"

Do you think it's somewhat hypocritical that the same women who express a careful concern for their image over and over again on their reality TV shows (there was a photo leak, OMG?!) insist on posing partially nude?

Best Dressed at the 2012 SAG Awards

Posted by kgranero 4:18pm GMT

Now that I've shared the misses, it's time to highlight the hits.

The glee-ful gems included Naya Rivera (who looked drop-dead gorgeous in a subtly purple, plunging Naeem Khan gown with allover beading), Dianna Agron (who made her mark in a magenta Carolina Herrera gown with ruffle detailing) and Jayma Mays (who sparkled from head to toe in Reem Acra).

Lea Michele (who got leggy in a thigh-high-slit Versace number) and Michelle Williams (who looked ravishingly retro in a red Valentino gown with lace sleeves) also proved women to watch.

Worst Dressed at the 2012 SAG Awards

Posted by kgranero 2:49pm GMT

From bubble wrap to Batgirl, this year's SAG Awards was met with some serious missteps.

And the worst of the worst included Rose Byrne (who looked like she was about to parachute out of a plane Elvis-style in a sparkling Elie Saab jumper), Angelina Jolie (whose shiny Jenny Packham gown appeared more cheap than chic) and Zoe Saldana (who looked like she was wearing bubble wrap in Givenchy Haute Couture).

Also topping (or shall I say bottoming) the list were "Glee" star Heather Morris (who appeared to rocking a seat cover, designed by Masai Payan, from the Batmobile) and Busy Phillips (looking Woodstock-worthy in a BUSY boho dress).
