This Week's Fab Five
This week was all about...a lot of Wu and even more WOW. And the winners are...
Reese Witherspoon in a strapless sheath from the Narciso Rodriguez Spring 2010 collection at the Avon Foundation's “Champions Who Change Women’s Lives” event. The fact that this dress is two-toned draws even more attention to the skirt's futuristic-chic design. This also a step in the sexy direction for Reese's usually conservative approach to fashion.
Leslie Mann glowing in a yellow and black Jason Wu number at the Fulfillment Fund’s Annual STARS 2009 Benefit Gala. The young designer, who made his big break wardrobing Michelle Obama for the Inaugural Ball, is the perfect fit for Leslie's playful, yet poised, style. Love this color on her!
Demi Moore wearing a black and white Prabal Gurung dress at the 2009 GQ Gentlemen’s Ball. The big bow detailing on this dress adds a youthful touch to this dress's otherwise mature design.
Diane Kruger in an asymmetrical Jason Wu dress at the preview of the Jason Wu Spring 2010 Collection in Hollywood. Diane has been on a hot streak lately, and this party dress just adds more fuel to the fire. The draping and bunching of the turquoise and black fabric give this dress a romantic vibe (just a tad Marchesa-esque).
Emmy Rossum working (and I mean WORKING) a black, long-sleeved Salvatore Ferragamo body-hugger at the 2009 GQ Gentlemen’s Ball. While other bloggers have criticized Emmy for trying to wear something not within her reach, I commend her for stepping out of her safety zone in this partially see-through geometric dress. I also like how the design manages to cover her in all the right places.
