Red-Carpet Recap: Golden Globes Party Saluting Young Hollywood
The ticket to last night's Golden Globes Party Saluting Young Hollywood?! Spotlight-stealing shimmer. Some of the sparkle-clad style highlights included:
Kayla Ewell in a one-cap-shouldered French Connection dress. While I wasn't surprised to see "The Vampire Diaries" actress in French Connection (she practically lives in the brand!), I love the black/gold fabric used to make this dress. A lot of designers, including Lanvin and Donna Karan, are exploring the black/gold trend right now, which I find to be equal parts luxurious and rebellious.
Ashley Tisdale rocking a cobalt shift dress. While I would've liked to see Ashley add a little shape to this piece with a belt, I love the way the bright blue pops against her tan skin. The seafoam-green sparkles throughout also help create a mermaid-meets-Manhattan effect.
Jessica Stroup wearing a megawatt mini, V-neck tee and blazer. This casual-cool combo is right par with the "90210" actress's playful, party style. I'm also thankful Jessica forewent a lot of bling and let the skirt do the talking.
Jordana Brewster glowing in an emerald sheath. This is a perfect example of how to incorporate color into your wardrobe without looking like a clown. While the conservative cut and simplicity of Jordana's dress exude sophistication, the saturated hue screams youth.
Brittany Snow wearing a Shoshanna LBD. While I would've liked to see Brittany have a little more fun with her look, she at least lightened things up with a statement necklace, which I believe is from Henri Bendel.
