Red-Carpet Recap: Elle Style Awards
As usual, this year's Elle Style Awards was characterized by some of Hollywood's freshest (and fiercest) celebs. Some of the style highlights included:
The Olsens in Christian Lacroix (Ashley) and Lanvin (Mary-Kate). While I really wanted to like the twins' couture creations, I just couldn't get past the fact that they looked so haggard (as usual). The twins, who ranked second on PETA's Worst-Dressed of 2009 list, topped off their gowns with fur coats.
Kristen Stewart in Emilio Pucci. This served as yet another classic example of Kristen taking a great dress and completely ruining it with her bad posture. I would've liked to see this on someone like Zoe Saldana.
Naomi Campbell in Alexander McQueen. A lot of celebrities have been paying tribute to the late designer recently by wearing pieces from his Spring 2010 collection. This one, which reminded me of that worn by Anna Paquin to the SAGs, looked fantastic on Naomi.
Carey Mulligan in The Row. I was a little disappointed to see the actress in this dress-and-jacket combo, which I'm sure scored her brownie points with the Olsen twins (a.k.a. "The Row" designers). I tend to go back and forth when it comes to Carey's red-carpet style.
