About Your Mama Don't Dance
The dance world is about to be turned upside down! In this reality series, some of America's hottest dancers auditioned for a chance to be a part of a new dance competition show under the pseudonym "Dance Nation," but they had no idea what was really in store for them. They soon discovered that they'd be working with a partner
and that their partner would be one of their parents! Now, five female dancers will be fox-trotting with their fathers while five male dancers will be doing the mambo with their mothers as they vie for praise from the...

they danced the best on the show in my opinion!
i have been reading some of these comments;it ashame that people would try to talk down about them after the worked
hard to win.thats jus petty.some people are such hater's gosh.they really should get a life and stop meesing up others!
A few notes to the show’s producers: Someone a few weeks ago suggested adding up each pair’s ‘cumulative’ scores from week to week to determine which pairs go into the drop zone. I wholeheartedly support that suggestion. It’s frustrating as a viewer to see two consistently-strong teams suddenly in the drop zone because they had an off week with a particular style, while a weaker pair avoids elimination by having a good week. The goal should be to create a format that allows the overall best teams to advance from week to week, not just the best teams from a single episode. This became an issue this season, and I found it significantly diminished my enthusiasm for following the show to see people leaving who (based on their overall performance) should have been allowed to advance.
The above suggestion would also have the benefit of adding more suspense to the program since it’s easy to do the math in your head each week and figure out who’s in the drop zone before the end of the show with the current format. With the suggested format, you wouldn’t know until Ian made the announcement.
Another suggestion is to drop Street Dancing from the program. It was by far the least entertaining episode this season, and I watched them all more than once on On-demand. Street Dancing is probably the most physically demanding style, especially for the male dancers who are expected to do the type of ground work Jesse did. That style puts the daughter-father teams at a slight disadvantage as most dad’s can’t even begin to do that stuff, while the son-mother teams don’t have the problem of 50-year-old’s with bad backs trying to do spinning handstands. Almost all of the routines that week looked like watered-down Street Dancing, even Erick’s and Carol’s since Erick opted not to do any ground work. Of course, you could argue that every routine, regardless of the style, is somewhat watered down on account of the parents, but it becomes painfully obvious in a dynamic and physically-demanding style like Street Dancing. Despite almost every pro dancer (even Nicole) claiming this style was one of their strengths, the episode was the least entertaining of the bunch. The one bright spot was Brooke’s and Eric’s routine, but you can’t count on having parents as capable as Eric. Maybe Salsa could replace Street Dancing next season.
Don’t know if I’m just having browser problems or what, but I can’t access the Cast forums after logging in. I was able to post in Noelle’s and Doug’s forum by clicking on their photo above, but my pointer doesn’t switch to a hand when I put it on the Cast menu above. I’ll have to try again later.
Lastly, (for my daughter) will there be a DVD of this season released?
I cannot even begin to describe this experience. I hope that all of the contestants brought families and friends togeter on a Friday night to be entertained. I have gained a great deal of knowledge about this industry, myself, and my relationship with my father. We are blessed you have all let us into your lives and homes. We thank everyone for your continued support and words of encouragement. We really appreicate it. Coming from a small town with big dreams- never give up.
Always dream.
Always believe.
Lots of love and MANY THANKS!

You guys were fabulous each week and you so deserved to win this show! We were so disappointed, along with a lot of America. Brooke, you're such a beautiful dancer in every discipline and I know you'll go places with or without being the official winner! We wish you luck in all that you do and we can't wait to see more of your beautiful face and talent. Eric, you are just a natural dancer. No other parent could top your talent and as a couple, you guys were the best!! We love your relationship and the fact that you are both so genuine and not artificial. We love you guys! You should have your own show (smile). God Bless you both!
