What was the first garment you ever made?

Tote bag.

What's playing on your iPod when you're designing?

Beyonce, Feist, Rihanna.

When did you realize you had designer potential?

After sewing my first tote bag in Sewing 101 class in college and realizing how much I enjoyed sewing it and constructing it.

Alexander McQueen, Proenza Schouler, Phillip Lim, Alber Elbaz.

Current occupation?

Fashion designer.

What is a fashion must?

Skinny jeans.

What is your design training?

American InterContintal University, majored in fashion design and fashion marketing.

What are your strengths as a designer?

Patternmaking and draping, and just making really distinctive pieces.

What are your weaknesses as a designer?

Sticking to a certain design and sometimes deadlines.

What's influenced your designs over the years?

I am usually inspired by everyday people and have used them as my influence most of the time.

What's your favorite material or fabric to work with?

Knits.

What's the item you're most proud of designing?

My niece's prom dress that I made for her senior prom.

Not creating new ideas and or being innovative.

Tacky people, mix-match people.

Motorcycle jacket from the thrift store.

The Olsen twins.

If you designed for the first lady, what would you design for her?

A nice cocktail dress for a speaking engagment. Form-fitting and elegant.

What celebrity would you like to design for?

Rihanna. I would love to design her some tour costumes.

Who's your supermodel muse?

Tyra Banks, Naomi Campbell.

What do you look for in a model?

The most mportant thing is if she can sell your garment. NO preference, just a cohesive look to my design aesthetic.

I like them. It's always something different and innovative to really challenge the designers.

How did you end up auditioning for Project Runway?

It has always been a dream of mine to be on the show and win. This was my first time auditioning.

Why do you think you will win Project Runway?

I have the experience in being creative as well as the determination to be successful in the fashion industry. I am passionate and self-driven and motivated to fully pursue my dreams as a designer.
