AAt a young age, I made dresses for my sister's Barbies out of anything I could get my hands on, like toilet paper, old socks and denim scraps.

AThe Art Institute of Portland, March 2011, Bachelor of Fine Arts in Apparel Design.

AWinner of Studio SKB Designer Launch internship; National Finalist for The Humane Society's and The Art Institute's Cool vs. Cruel 2009 fashion design contest.
QWhat are your strengths as a designer?
AI am great with fit and proportion, mixing textures and colors, and creating exciting silhouettes.
QWhat are your weaknesses as a designer?
AI am a perfectionist, but I am realizing that the small stuff does not affect the big picture.
QWhat's influenced your designs over the years?
AAlways, hyperbolic super egos like comic book super villains, rock stars and eccentric fashionistas. Right now, the idea of a revolution or the shifting of power.

QWhat's the item you're most proud of designing?
AI call it The Dress. It was inspired by Ziggy Stardust. It has an asymmetrical denim bodice, an exaggerated shoulder and a voluminous feathered skirt.

ASketch, then drape.

QWhat are your favorite colors?
AReds, black, chartreuse, grays, indigo, silver, deep wines.
QWhat's your biggest fear as a designer?
ATo have never shown at New York Fashion Week.

AUgg boots, humor tees, sweatsuits, and anything attached to the Kardashians.

AUgg boots! LOL!

QIf you designed for the first lady, what would you design for her?
ASomething that shows off her decolletage and amazing arms. It would have clean lines and mixed textures.

ALady Gaga. I would design a dress that would be so overdesigned it would be offensive.
QWho's your supermodel muse?
AAndrej Pejic. I love that he is confusing straight men everywhere.

AHeight. I love a tall model.
