A: I am a proud graduate of the University of Alabama Apparel Design Program.

A: Henrietta Thompson Fashion Achievement Award at UA in 2008 for excellence in fashion.

A: Use of color and free-form draping.

A: Nature, people, art.

A: Chiffon and organza.

A: A white dress that was on display at the student center at UA even after I graduated.

A: There is a time and place for both.

A: Having to make a tailored shirt -- I kind of hate them.

A: People wearing clothes that are a size too small.

A: Carrie Bradshaw from "Sex and the City."

A: A chic A-line dress.

A: Sandra Bullock -- a gown for her to accept another award in.

A: I am not just saying this to kiss up, but Heidi Klum.

A: I like dark-haired models with soft features.

A: I do have one, and I named it Couture Chaos.

A: A psychologist to figure out the crazies who are designing.

A: Florida! I could sketch and tan at the same time.

A: Bruno Giuseppe Perna, a five-pound teacup Yorkie, and Coconut, a 10-pound Yorkie.

A: Scooter (my grandfather gave me this one when I was a baby), Perna (everyone calls me this).

A: Easy because I am entertaining. Not easy because I am very opinionated.

A: The beach.

A: Cooking, interior decorating, shopping.

A: Love/hate relationship. Love the fact people have different talents. Hate dealing with divas.
Q: How did you end up auditioning for Project Runway?
A: I wanted the opportunity to make my dreams come true. I sent in an audition tape previously.
