A: Halloween costumes in high school.

A: My sophomore year in college, when I realized it was actually a profession.

A: Alber Elbaz, Valentino.

Q: Current occupation?

A: Fashion designer.

A: Assistant designer, student ambassador.

Q: What is a fashion must?

A: Amazing accessories.

Q: What is your design training?

A: I am a proud graduate of the University of Alabama Apparel Design Program.

Q: Have you won any awards related to design?

A: Henrietta Thompson Fashion Achievement Award at UA in 2008 for excellence in fashion.

Q: What are your strengths as a designer?

A: Use of color and free-form draping.

Q: What are your weaknesses as a designer?

A: Overanalyzing.

Q: What's influenced your designs over the years?

A: Nature, people, art.

Q: What's your favorite material or fabric to work with?

A: Chiffon and organza.

Q: What's the item you're most proud of designing?

A: A white dress that was on display at the student center at UA even after I graduated.

Q: Do you prefer sketching or draping? AI love both! QDo you prefer patterns or solids?

A: There is a time and place for both.

Q: What are your favorite colors?

A: Pink, red and orange.

Q: What's your biggest fear as a designer?

A: Having to make a tailored shirt -- I kind of hate them.

Q: What fashion faux pas drives you crazy?

A: People wearing clothes that are a size too small.

Q: What's the ugliest thing you've ever worn?

A: Skorts.

A: Carrie Bradshaw from "Sex and the City."

Q: If you designed for the first lady, what would you design for her?

A: A chic A-line dress.

Q: What celebrity would you like to design for?

A: Sandra Bullock -- a gown for her to accept another award in.

Q: Who's your supermodel muse?

A: I am not just saying this to kiss up, but Heidi Klum.

Q: What do you look for in a model?

A: I like dark-haired models with soft features.

Q: If you had to name your label, you'd call it . . .

A: I do have one, and I named it Couture Chaos.

Q: If you weren't designing, you'd be . . .

A: A psychologist to figure out the crazies who are designing.

Q: Dream place to set up your design business?

A: Florida! I could sketch and tan at the same time.

A: Europeans.

A: Smart, creative, eccentric.

A: Quirky, creative, smart, driven.

A: Fun, loud and very close.

A: Single, but I have a boyfriend.

A: Bruno Giuseppe Perna, a five-pound teacup Yorkie, and Coconut, a 10-pound Yorkie.

Q: Do you have any nicknames?

A: Scooter (my grandfather gave me this one when I was a baby), Perna (everyone calls me this).

Q: Why are you (or aren't you) easy to live with?

A: Easy because I am entertaining. Not easy because I am very opinionated.

Q: What's your favorite hangout back home?

A: The beach.

Q: What are your hobbies besides designing?

A: Cooking, interior decorating, shopping.

A: The Wizard of Oz, Everything Is Illuminated, The Labryrinth, Across the Universe.

A: 30 Rock, HGTV, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

A: Blackberry -- touch screens intimidate me.

A: Cooking. My boyfriend and I enjoy cooking together.

A: Wine, but I do love a good lambic beer.

A: Christian Siriano, Anthony Williams.

A: Grocery store challenge.

A: Anything where models dictate designs.

Q: Your take on team challenges ... love them or hate them?

A: Love/hate relationship. Love the fact people have different talents. Hate dealing with divas.

Q: How did you end up auditioning for Project Runway?

A: I wanted the opportunity to make my dreams come true. I sent in an audition tape previously.

Q: Why do you think you will win Project Runway?

A: I understand every aspect of the design process.
