QWhen did you realize you had designer potential? AWhen I graduated from high school, I would make mine and my friends' clothes.
QFirst garment you ever made? AI made some outfits for a dance group. I basically only used spray paint, safety pins, and needle and thread. I was so ambitious!
QWhat's your design training/schooling, etc.? ASelf-taught.
QHave you won any awards for your designs/work related to design? AI was nominated as 2012 Womenswear Designer of the Year from the Detroit Fashion Group, however I didn't win.
QStrengths as a designer? AConstruction and fit.
QWeaknesses as a designer? AMenswear.
QWhat are your influences? AMy past influence was anything vintage. Now I'm the total opposite: I'm obsessed with modern, clean, sleek lines with BOLD colors.
QWhat's playing on your iPod when you're designing? AChrisette Michele, Anita Baker, Teena Marie (I love R&B).
QFavorite material or fabric to work with? AStretch crepe and knits.
QItem you're most proud of designing? AI made a custom orange silk jumper for Dawn Richard for her appearance on BET's "106 & Park."

QFavorite colors? ATurquoise, peach, cobalt blue.
QBiggest fear as a designer? ACreative block (oh nooo!!).

QFashion faux pas that drives you crazy? ANothing really! Fashion has no limits.
QUgliest item of clothing/accessory you've worn? ASee-through clear plastic combat boots. I was in high school, I thought I was hot stuff....ha!
QFavorite style icon? ASarah Jessica Parker (Carrie rules the world!).
QWhat would you design for the First Lady? AA two-piece pantsuit in soft mint green, pants flowy with a slightly wide leg, shirt tailored and fitted.
QCelebrity you wish you could design for? ASolange Knowles [insert scream here]. A one-piece shorts romper, printed fabric with side-seam pockets, and a long-sleeve sheer top with pop of solid color.
QFavorite supermodel muse? ANaomi Campbell.
QIf you had to name your label, you'd call it... AI already have a label I freelance design for called Chargrels Couture.
QIf you weren't designing, you'd be... AA hairdresser (my first love).

QHow did you end up auditioning for PR? AYes, I auditioned two times before with no callback. Then I decided to make my own home video and try again, and kept it a secret until I was a semi-finalist.

QWhat do you look for in a model? AHeight is important. Hair doesn't really matter but she has to have confidence and a mean walk!
