QFirst garment you ever made? AVest for my Barbie skirt with knit hem. I used to draw dresses for Princess Diana. She was my muse when I was 8 years old.
QWhat's your design training/schooling, etc.? AMFA from AAU.
QHave you won any awards for your designs/work related to design? ASan Francisco fashion awards, Best Designer in SF, and Best Art Director.
QStrengths as a designer? APattern making, design and vision.
QWeaknesses as a designer? AHand sewing, beading.
QWhat are your influences? ASci-fi movies, traveling all over the world.
QWhat's playing on your iPod when you're designing? ALana del Rey, making patterns while listening to Eminem.
QFavorite material or fabric to work with? ACashmere, stretch, lace.
QItem you're most proud of designing? AThe wedding dress in my store. It's modern edgy, all from recycled fabrics and vintage lace. Tons of hours.
QFavorite designer(s)? AFree People, Alexander McQueen, Comme des Garcons and all the young designers from Camp Couture.
QSketch or drape? ABoth.
QFavorite colors? ABlack, pale yellow, red, and never pink.
QBiggest fear as a designer? AButtonholes mess up, ironing mark on a final garment, and when a client stiffs you.
QFashion must? ABoyfriend jeans, originality, sneaker wedges, wedges, wedges, wedges.
QFashion faux pas that drives you crazy? AMen wearing white pointed shoes. Ill-fitting pants.

QWhat would you design for the First Lady? ASexy underwear. Just kidding! Definitely formal gowns.

QDo you think you can win "Project Runway"? AYes, I think I can win. I am smart, talented, skilled. I have a strong viewpoint in regard to fashion. And I promised one cool little kid in the world that I would win.
