4 years old.
First garment you ever made?
Vest for my Barbie skirt with knit hem. I used to draw dresses for Princess Diana. She was my muse when I was 8 years old.
What's your design training/schooling, etc.?
MFA from AAU.
Have you won any awards for your designs/work related to design?
San Francisco fashion awards, Best Designer in SF, and Best Art Director.
Strengths as a designer?
Pattern making, design and vision.
Weaknesses as a designer?
Hand sewing, beading.
What are your influences?
Sci-fi movies, traveling all over the world.
What's playing on your iPod when you're designing?
Lana del Rey, making patterns while listening to Eminem.
Favorite material or fabric to work with?
Cashmere, stretch, lace.
Item you're most proud of designing?
The wedding dress in my store. It's modern edgy, all from recycled fabrics and vintage lace. Tons of hours.
Free People, Alexander McQueen, Comme des Garcons and all the young designers from Camp Couture.
Sketch or drape?
Black, pale yellow, red, and never pink.
Biggest fear as a designer?
Buttonholes mess up, ironing mark on a final garment, and when a client stiffs you.
Boyfriend jeans, originality, sneaker wedges, wedges, wedges, wedges.
Fashion faux pas that drives you crazy?
Men wearing white pointed shoes. Ill-fitting pants.
Ugliest item of clothing/accessory you've worn?
Yellow skinny pants that I wore 2 weeks ago.
Favorite style icon?
Karl Lagerfeld, Kate Moss, Daphne Guinness, Nicole Richie.
What would you design for the First Lady?
Sexy underwear. Just kidding! Definitely formal gowns.
Celebrity you wish you could design for?
Boxers for David Beckham. A red-carpet gown for Charlize Theron.

I'm kind. Personal space is important.

How did you end up auditioning for PR?
Applied once five years ago. They reached out to me this time and I went for it.

Season 1 Jay ruled!

I love them. Teamwork makes the dream work.
What do you look for in a model?
Tall, thin, attitude, good walk, cool hair, great sense of personal style, confident.
Do you think you can win "Project Runway"?
Yes, I think I can win. I am smart, talented, skilled. I have a strong viewpoint in regard to fashion. And I promised one cool little kid in the world that I would win.
