A: Yes I can, in one word: actors.
Q: Current occupation?
A: Costume construction for Broadway.
Q: Past jobs?
A: Makeup artist for editorials, runway shows, etc., for about 10 years.
Q: When did you realize you had designer potential?
A: When I was color-coordinating my clothes in elementary school.
Q: First garment you ever made?
A: I made it when I was about 14 or so. It was a wool tweed high-waisted A-line skirt with a slit in the back.
Q: What's your design training/schooling, etc.?
A: A degree at FIDM LA.
Q: Strengths as a designer?
A: My fine hand.
Q: Weaknesses as a designer?
A: My sketching.
Q: What are your influences?
A: Music and the style that goes with said music. I've always had a very close-knit relationship with the two. I find they go hand in hand with creating a look.
Q: What's playing on your iPod when you're designing?
A: Either opera, electro or Broadway musicals. Or a combination of...
Q: Favorite material or fabric to work with?
A: I find myself gravitating toward upholstery fabrics. They always have the best prints!
Q: Item you're most proud of designing?
A: My 2-D outfit for the famous New York drag queen Acid Betty.

A; Viktor & Rolf, McQueen, Mugler (original house), Rick Owens, Galliano, Gareth Pugh, Westwood, Comme Des Garcons….

Q: Patterns or solids?
A: Patterns, large ones!
Q: Favorite colors?
A: A nice muted violet.
Q: Biggest fear as a designer?
A: I always need to learn more!
Q: Fashion must?
A: A COMPLETE look. Not just clothes, but the hair and makeup done too!
Q: Fashion faux pas that drives you crazy?
A: UGGS! and this crazy LAZY fad where people think sweatsuits are fashion! I gag when I see people in public in their pajamas.
Q: Ugliest item of clothing/accessory you've worn?
A: I was into the '70s look when I was younger… ugh.
Q: Favorite style icon?
A: Tilda Swinton.
Q: What would you design for the First Lady?
A: Definitely something a bit younger and less hyper-conservative. Classy with an edge.
Q: Celebrity you wish you could design for?
A: Tilda Swinton. I would love to just go to town and drape like 30 yards of fabric in one dress especially with the asymmetrical feel she works on the red carpet. Love it.
Q: Favorite supermodel muse?
A: She's not really around anymore, but I always loved Nadja Auermann's look, especially when she bleached her eyebrows!
Q: If you had to name your label, you'd call it...?
A: I named it Alexander Pope already.
Q: If you weren't designing, you'd be...?
A: I have no idea… I would be designing.
Q; Places/cultures you wish you could design for?
A: I live for Europe. I've been to London and just fell in love. I find myself inspired by English designers; I guess that makes me an Anglomaniac.
Q: Dream place to set up your business?
A: New York is perfect.

Q: How are you described by your family and friends?
A: Dead inside.
Q: Why do you think you're easy to live with?
A: I still think I make a good roommate, but my past 15 roommates most likely wouldn't agree. But then again, I can say the same about them. I make a good roommate because I am clean, social and I like to cook, and I never cook for only one person….

A: Nowhere right now. I haven't found a new hangout for myself that I like.

A: This is my first time auditioning, and my close friend convinced me to.

A: Mr. Siriano.
Q: Challenge you wish they'd bring back?
A: I like the "design something for Heidi" challenge. I mean, come on, she's a supermodel!
Q: Challenge you hope they don't?
A: Designing for old/overweight people.
Q: Your take on team challenges:?
A: Neither. I think they could be interesting, because sometimes a collaboration could be gold.
Q: What do you look for in a model?
A: Height for sure; I like them tall. I find that I choose blondes more, and the most important thing is their walk. I just can't get past that if it isn't up to par.
Q: Do you think you can win "Project Runway"?
A: I think I can. I bring not only fashion but a pretty extensive costume background to the table, and I think that knowledge really helps me design some creatively interesting clothing...
