When did you realize you had designer potential?

In 1987, when I made my first garment.

First garment you ever made?

The first garment I ever made an outfit was similar to the one Cat Glover wore on the back of Prince's "Sign o the Times" single. It was made out of a baby blue sheet and it was everything!

What's your design training/schooling, etc.?

Degree in fashion design/marketing.

Strengths as a designer?

I understand my textile of choice and how it falls on a woman's body.

I'm so critical of my own work.

A friend informed me of the audition, so I sent a video in. This was my third time auditioning.

Designing for our moms.

Hardware store challenge.

Hate them. I want to design what I want without any input from other people.

Besides her measurements, she MUST have an incredible walk!
