When did you realize you had designer potential?

About the age of 16.

First garment you ever made?

A pair of pants with a one-inch waistband at the age of 10.

What's your design training/schooling?

Two years at Brooks College in Long Beach, California, and two years at F.I.T. in NYC.

Have you won any awards?

Best designer in graduating class at both design schools. Chosen to exhibit at the Waldorf-Astoria as part of "The best in the year of fashion."

Strengths as a designer?

Using unexpected textures, items and trims together.

Weaknesses as a designer?

That I don't have 10 personal sewers!

What have been your influences?

Past: Films and glamour. Now: Line, color and texture.

What's playing on your iPod while you design?

Adult alternative. The later it gets at night, the more heavy rock plays.

Favorite material/fabric to work with?

Wool, raw silk, linen. Metal, seat belts.

Item you're most proud to have designed?

Don't have just one favorite!

Moschino, Oscar, Terry Mugler.

Depends.

Black, cream, light gray, brown, white, burgundy.

To end up in hell wearing the same exact outfit every day - made of polyester!

A smile.

Wearing pants below the underwear.

Wide, bell-bottomed pants.

Grace Kelly.

Something lavender or periwinkle.

Halle Berry and Natalie Portman. A sexy, shirtless pantsuit.

I've done it many times all over the world in model apartments. Still friends with many of them, so I guess I was not too bad to live with.

Trying to get my new parakeet to sit on my finger. He is very stubborn.

Not so sure team challenges work so well.
