When did you realize you had designer potential?
I started sketching very early, around age 7, and I think around age 10 I already knew that I would be a designer.
First garment you ever made?
I used to be a professional ballroom dancer, and around age 11 I started designing costumes for myself, my partners, my friends.
What's your design training/schooling?
I graduated from Parsons School of Design with a BFA in Fashion Design.
Have you won any awards?
GenArt Award, "24 Hour Catwalk" grand prize winner, the Parsons Designer showcase at DEBUT, finalist in the Saga Furs Design competition, finalist of the Gap Design competition, Gene Kahn Scholarship Award.
Strengths as a designer?
I have great construction, draping and technical skills.
Weaknesses as a designer?
Sometimes I don't have enough patience.
What have been your influences?
I am usually inspired by architecture and graphic forms and objects. My designs are clean, graphic, but comfortable at the same time. Comfort is very important to me as a designer.
What's playing on your iPod while you design?
I like all kinds of music, from classical to pop. Love French music.
Favorite material/fabric to work with?
I like to work with men's fabrics, jersey, wool and leather.
Item you're most proud to have designed?
I have many I am proud of.
I don't really have a favorite designer, but I admire the work of Alexander McQueen.
Sketch or drape?
Depends on the situation/design. I love to drape.
Patterns or solids?
Black, white, grays, metallic, navy.
Biggest fear as a designer?
Not to achieve my goals.

People who wear unflattering clothes.

Depends on the team, but I'm not crazy about them.
