When did you realize you had designer potential?
I realized my designer potential when I was like eight or nine years old. I always had a love for fabric and apparel.
What is your design training?
I have no formal training besides my mother. I have other fashion credentials via school and training.
Strengths as a designer?
My strength as a designer is making pieces that are trendy and building pieces. I also have a great eye for style.
Weaknesses as a designer?
My weakness as a designer is overthinking. I will overthink a design during execution sometimes.
How did you end up auditioning for “Project Runway”?
I auditioned for PR in 2014. I actually always wanted to audition but didn’t feel like I was a strong enough designer, so my family encouraged me and I went for it.
Challenge you wish they’d bring back?
The challenges I hope they bring back is the dumpster diving challenge. I would love that!
Challenge you hope they don’t?
To be honest there isn’t a challenge that I hope they wouldn’t bring back. All of the challenges have been pretty dope.
What’s your take on team challenges?
I absolutely love team challenges because my husband and I are a design team and I am good with working alone or together.
Do you think you can win “Project Runway”?
I feel very strongly in my heart that I could win because I am trendy and I feel like my apparel is the voice of the underdog. I feel like I have strong presentations and I love excitement on the runway that always catches the audience by surprise. I need this win to be able to make my dream come true and start a solid and successful journey in fashion.
