"Project Runway's" Rami Kashou Meets "Drop Dead Diva"
Worlds are colliding here at Lifetime! "Project Runway" Season 4 runner-up Rami Kashou will be designing a one-of-a-kind gown for actress Margaret Cho's in "Drop Dead Diva's" highly anticipated gay prom episode in Season 3. The episode will be inspired by the real-life story of Constance McMillen's same-sex prom ban.
In the episode, Jane (Brooke Elliott) brings the case of two teenage lesbians, who were banned from attending their prom, before a judge. Ultimately, she and her colleagues, including her assistant Teri (Margaret Cho), come up with a creative solution to the case.
Access Hollywood shares Rami's excitement: "I am a big fan of Margaret Cho and wanted to create a design as fun and vibrant as her personality through the color. ...My passion and love is in dresses and evening wear and it's such a pleasure to be dressing Margaret's character!"
Season 3 of "Drop Dead Diva" returns this June with previously announced guest stars Kathy Griffin, Wanda Sykes, LeAnn Rimes, Wendy Williams, Paula Abdul, Louis Van Amstel, Lance Bass, Clay Aiken, Nick Zano, Mario Lopez, Tony Goldwyn, Jennifer Tilly and Howard Hesseman. For more on "Project Runway" designer Rami Kashou, see his fantasy gown in our Project Runway Designers' Wedding Dresses for Kate Middleton photo gallery.
