NYC & Company and The Westin New York at Times Square launch "Project Runway" Hotel Promotion
Celebrate the Return of Lifetime Television's "Project Runway" to New York City and Kick Off its Seventh Season With an Exclusive On-Location Bus Tour
New York City (December 21, 2009) — NYC & Company, New York City's marketing, tourism and partnership organization, and The Westin New York at Times Square today announced the start of online bookings for an exclusive hotel promotion to mark the launch of the seventh season of Lifetime Television's "Project Runway", premiering on January 14. Returning to New York City after a brief stint out west, "Project Runway" moves back to where the show originated—the fashion capital of the world. To celebrate the program's return, The Westin New York at Times Square will offer guests a complimentary customized two-hour CitySights "Project Runway" bus tour with their reserved room on select dates between December 29 and January 18. In addition, using one of "Project Runway"'s famous catchphrases, the hotel will be dressed in custom-built "You're In" door hangers, alerting The Westin staff not to disturb guests over the duration of the promotion.

The "Project Runway" bus tour will run on Saturdays January 2, 9, 16, and Sunday, January 10, visiting fashion landmarks as well as sites from past "Project Runway" seasons. Location sites include Bryant Park, home to New York Fashion Week since 1993; Parsons The New School Fashion Design building, the staple setting for each episode's design challenge; and Mood Designer Fabrics, the supplier store for many of the contestants' creations.
