Q&A Gordana's Take

QWhat have you been up to since your time on Project Runway? A I have moved from Charleston, South Carolina, to San Diego, California, and opened a boutique and a studio.
QWhat garment from your season of Runway do fans compliment you on the most to this day? A The dress on the last challenge, inspired by a Monet painting.
QWhat do you think you are best remembered for from your season? A Usually people liked my attitude and my kindness on the show.
QFavorite client? A I love to design for everyday women. When you make them beautiful, they really appreciate it.
QWhat celebrities would you love to dress? A Oprah.
QWhat are your strengths as a designer at this point in your career? Any weaknesses you're still working on? A I am really good with knits and texturizing of fabrics. I have found a way to profit from my talent. I am working on taking the business to a larger scale.
QHow has your design aesthetic changed since your time on the show, if at all? A I don't think my aesthetic has changed, but definitely my confidence.
QWhat are your favorite pieces and staple items in your closet? A I love layers, so my closet is full of items that allow me to do it. Love tunics.
QWhich fashion rule do you think is begging to be broken? A Fashion rules themselves. Just wear what fits your body and your style.
QHow do you choose what to pack for All Stars? A I wanted to wear only my designs and to be comfortable at the same time for the endless hours of work.
QAfter being on the show, what Project Runway challenges do you think are the best and worst of all time? A I think the best challenges are the ones that inspire designers. I love challenges inspired by art of any form. I don't care for challenges for men's clothing. (Sorry, guys! :)
QWho is your favorite fellow Project Runway designer from any season, including yours, and why? A I love Chris March. I think he is extremely creative and full of unexpected twists.
QWhat goes through your head when you see yourself on television? A OMG I look so old and fat. :)
QWhat is the one thing fans would be surprised to find out about you? A I am supporting my whole family with what I do. :)
QWhat makes you All-Star material? A My skill and talent.
