What have you been up to since your time on "Project Runway"?
I have traveled as one of the fashion directors for Macy's, continued freelance designing and provided all of Stacey Dash's wardrobe for the first season of ''Single Ladies'' on VH1.
What garment from your season of "Runway" do fans compliment you on the most to this day?
Most people reference the the black and cream four-ply silk dress that was to be worn by actress Jessica Alba.
What do you think you are best remembered for from your season?
I think I am most known for being an individual whom people could relate to beyond design aesthetic, race, sexuality or gender.
What celebrities would you love to dress?
I would love to dress Jennifer Hudson.
What are your strengths as a designer at this point in your career?
Any weaknesses you.re still working on? | My greatest strength to date is my ability to see myself as more than just a designer. Being uninhibited by titles allows me to diversify who I am and create even more avenues for myself. My weakness would have to be letting the wrong people stay too long and the right people leave too fast.
How has your design aesthetic changed since your time on the show, if at all?
My aesthetic has not changed much since the show. More than anything, I think I have been able to better define my aesthetic and make it more specific to me and my brand.
What are your favorite pieces and staple items in your closet?
I love my trench coats, bags and my shoes. Everything else is just chips and dip.
Which fashion rule do you think is begging to be broken?
No white after Labor Day! I think if you can wear it well, you can wear what you want, when you want.
How do you choose what to pack for "All Stars"?
The first time I was on Project Runway, I did not pack my real clothes. I mainly packed clothes that wouldn't bother me if they happened to get damaged in the process. This time around, I packed my real personality, with all the bags and shoes to match.
After being on the show, what "Project Runway" challenges do you think are the best and worst of all time?
Clearly I think the best challenges are the evening wear and bridal challenges. I hate the unconventional challenges, only because they are not glamorous and are quite unrealistic.
Who is your favorite fellow "Project Runway" designer from any season, including yours, and why?
My favorite designer would have to be Jay Nicolas Sario. Not only do we respect each other as designers, but we are friends as well.
What goes through your head when you see yourself on television?
I am always amazed to see myself on television, only because some people can be edited to be whatever character is needed for that moment, but I am authentically myself.
What is the one thing fans would be surprised to find out about you?
They would be surprised to know that I am a career dater, but I have never had a boyfriend. And these days I ain't looking! lol
What makes you All-Star material?
I am an All Star because I say so.
