Kim's Facial Scrub Recipes
I am a believer, follower and advocate for exfoliation. People ask me what do you use on your skin, I always say it’s not what I use on it, it's what I do to it. Exfoliate! Exfoliation is the single most important thing you can do for your skin. It is the foundation to younger looking skin. Here are Kim's easy recipes to create your own scrub at home:
Normal Skin Exfoliating Scrub
White Sugar (use brown sugar for sensitive skin)
Water Splash of Lemon Juice
1. Mix equal parts honey, sugar & water. Add a splash of lemon juice.
2. Gently massage, with fingertips in circular motions, to your face and neck.
Gentle Facial Exfoliating Scrub
1 cup of ground oatmeal
1/2 cup of powdered milk (whole or non-fat is fine)
2 tsp. cornmeal
1. Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl before transferring to a sealable container.
2. To use the scrub, combine 1 tbsp. of your scrub with enough filtered water to form a thick paste. Gently massage in circular motions over your face and neck. Rinse with warm water and pat your skin dry.
Yields: Approx. 16 ounces of scrub
Application: Use three times a week
Storage: 16-ounce plastic or glass container
