Roz (Peri Gilpin) persuades Frasier (Kelsey Grammer) to appear as a "celebrity guest" on a cruise ship so they can get a free trip to Alaska. Knowing Niles (David Hyde Pierce) is blue over his faltering marriage to Maris, Frasier invites Niles and Martin (John Mahoney) to join them on board the ship.
The boat doesn't exactly live up to its glossy brochure. Everyone is stuck in staterooms the size of broom closets, and when Frasier discovers that the only other "celebrity" on the cruise is washed-up Latin lounge lizard named Carlos "The Barracuda" Del Gato (Miguel Perez), he wonders what he's gotten himself into to.
Soon, Niles is stunned to find out that Frasier has also invited Maris along. Unfortunately, he doesn't discover this until Maris sees socialite Mimi Cosgrove (Stephanie Faracy) make a pass at Niles. Desperate to help Niles reconcile with Maris, Frasier, Roz and Martin slip into Maris' stateroom, intending to interrupt a tryst they fear she's planning with "The Barracuda." To their relief, it turns out that Maris has invited Niles back to her room for an evening of romance.
