After the Episode with Carter MacIntyre: Season 4, Episode 10

You love to hate him! Jane's new guardian angel, Luke, (aka Carter MacIntyre) is tackling your questions about Season 4, Episode 10. Check out his answers below:
Olivia asks: "Why isn't Luke letting Jane talk to Grayson?"
Luke is on earth with a clear mission. He wants Jane to move forward with her life, to fully accept her fresh start. It's not that Luke has anything against Grayson, but I think Luke thinks he detects something in their relationship that is from Jane's old life as Deb and Luke sees this as a bad thing. Luke is fine with Jane falling in love, but that love has to be rooted in what she wants now, in the present.
Ramanda brings up a very good point. She posted on Facebook: "I thought the guardian angel couldn't date? So why is he taking Kim out? And why Kim?"
Well ... there are certain rules Luke is more than happy to bend for his own amusement. Enjoying the fairer sex is probably at the top of this list of breakable "rules." Why kim? I think Luke loves women. Period. But I think he finds Kim's strength and directness in going after what she wants irresistible ... and "she's hot."
"Luke just seems like he is not very 'angelic,'" Holly says. "Is there something up with his character?"
Luke is by no means whatsoever a perfect angel. And i can see why his drinking, teasing, womanizing and general tomfoolery could be viewed as not very angelic. But, I think Luke makes up for these possible personal shortcomings in his effectiveness in his job. Luke is very good at looking out for Jane. Even when it seems like he is being insensitive or even mean or devious, if you look closely and keep watching, I think you'll find that ultimately, Luke always leads Jane to learn about herself and to discover her path.
Ashley asks: "Who do you really want Jane to end up with?"
Who do I, Carter, really think Jane should end up with? Hmm ... I'll say ... Parker! Kidding. To be honest, at this point, I'm not sure Jane is quite ready to be with anyone. I think she might need to find some space to really figure things out before she is able to fully take the plunge.
And lastly, Rosita on Facebook asks: "How do you feel about the role your character plays in the story?"
The fun thing about the role Luke plays in the story is that he always provides something unexpected. I love that. I love that whenever I read a script, I am waiting to be surprised at what Luke will be up to this week whether it be studying karate, buying Jane's house, providing free slushies or giving some surprisingly sage advice for Jane. And I'm really excited about the next three episodes because Luke shows up in the most unexpected ways yet!

After the Episode with Lex Medlin: Season 4, Episode 9

Owen is back! And what better way to celebrate his return than having Lex Medlin answer your questions for this week's After the Episode!? Read his answers below:
Clara is curious: "Is your story line any way related to true life?"
Have I ever had a heart attack and heart surgery? Thankfully no. Have I ever fallen head over heals in love with someone? Thankfully yes.
Kelly from Facebook asks, "Is Owen really alive?"
Yea, I've seen all the different theories out there. I don't know how much I can say, but Owen is alive and there is much more to come.
"If Owen was so adament about calling things off, why did he change his mind so quickly?" Jamie asks. "And he seems to be flip floping on this marraige issue. Is he sure this time or are we going to see more cold feet?"
Always remember that all of Owen's actions so far come from being utterly in love with Jane (at least that's how I've been playing it so far). I think sometimes when people are crazy in love they do stupid things. I know I have in my real life. I think Owen really didn't want to hurt Jane, I mean he's not sure how long his life is going to be. Thankfully Jane stepped up in the end, which is so very Jane, and they have a shot at being together. I can't imagine Owen will get cold feet.
Amanda wants to know if you "want Owen and Jane to be together and get married? Or do you want her with Grayson?"
I love this question. The truth? I'm totally conflicted. Team Owen because I'm an actor and like being employed. Team Grayson because they are soulmates and that rings true to my heart. Team Owen because he completely adores and respects everything about Jane from the bottom of his heart. Team Grayson because he is soooo dreamy to look at (even in real life!). In the end, Jane is the heart and soul of the show and there is so much about the character that I personally find endearing. So ... #TeamJane
Nicole thinks you look handsome in the judges robe. She wants to know what was the most fun scene you've shot so far? And was it surprising that there are actually people enjoying the Jane/Owen relationship despite it being in the way of Jane/Grayson?
1) The basketball scenes were hard but fun. Jackson and I early in that day of shooting agreed to just go for it. We beat each other up pretty good. He was awesome.
2) I am completely shocked at the amount of support Jane/Owen has gotten. Jane/Grayson have a long history and many consider soulmates. I didn't think anything could sway people away from that. But hey, life isn't always black and white. Sometimes it's a messy gray.
3) JUDGES ROBES ROCK! I recommend everybody get one. They are silky/sexy and empowering at the same time. They get very hot though so I don't recommend wearing pants when you have one on. If we're ever in the courtroom and you don't see my feet during the scene? Assume I'm not wearing pants.

After the Episode with Jackson Hurst: Season 4, Episodes 5, 6, 7 & 8!

"After the Episode" may have disappeared for a bit, but it's only because I was working on a super-sized edition ... and Jackson Hurst is back! Jackson (aka Grayson) answered your Qs from Facebook and Twitter (and maybe even accepted a few marriage proposals in the process) questions about "Drop Dead Diva" Season 4, Episode 5, 6, 7 and 8!
Karen from Facebook got straight to the point: "Do you and Jane finally get together? "
It's a complicated relationship. They love each other, no doubt. But it's complicated. When he's ready, she's not and vice versa. I'm afraid with her current serious relationship, and Grayson being the respectful man he is, they will not get together at least not this season.
Speaking of Owen, Patti asks, "Is Owen coming back?"
Wish I could answer that one for you, but that'd be a spoiler. Let's just say... watch closely...
That must make Team Owen fans happy, right? FB Fan Julie asked a truly LOL-worthy Q: "How much does it suck wearing a suit in July while filming in Atlanta?"
"Suck" doesn't even scratch the surface. But hey, you can't have lawyers wearing mesh and tanks.
I don't think anyone would mind seeing you in tank, Jackson. Just saying... April asked, "If you could make your own dream sequence for show, what would it be like?"
Cage fighting. Next question.
Denise thinks that Grayson is "uptight." When is Grayson just going to let loose and have some fun?
Yeah, the guy can be a little stiff, but he's been through a lot so can you really blame him? Truth is, he has fun, but in a chill, sit-back-and-observe kind of way. The other male characters are a bit more overt.
Melanie is a big fan of the show's musical numbers. Would you like to do more musical numbers on the show?
Ha, no. I've joked with our creator about the dance numbers I didn't know I was signing up for a musical! I'm good without 'em.
And lastly, Flor, among many other women (and some men!) wants an answer to those four special words: Will you marry me?
Ha, I love it. Apparently, I do have a few weddings lined up it appears, but I also have an amazing lady, so they'll have to get in line :)

After the Episode with Josh Stamberg: Season 4, Episode 4

Another Josh is taking a stab at your questions this week Josh Stamberg! The "Drop Dead Diva" actor loved answering the questions you submitted via Facebook and Twitter about Episode 4:
Kelly on Facebook was curious about how you think Parker has changed since last season.
Parker's having a late renaissance! Stepping up to the emotional plate and swinging for the fences... he just needs to focus on base hits ! Trying to figure out fatherhood and working hard to keep the Firm afloat, definitely has him on the run. Mainly, Parker's thinking with his heart more than his other parts. ;)
So do you think there's any hope for Parker and Kim?
Lotta hope for P&K. Who knows if they'll make it...
Ashley senses a "power struggle" between Parker and Luke. Is that going to develop further?
Yup, minor power struggle with Luke. Parker needs him, but is always ready and willing to let everyone now that his "name is on the door." He's always the boss, but even bosses have bosses... and they're rarely angels.
Claudia asked a fun question: "What kind of pake would Parker get from Stacy's pakery?
Parker would opt for a Parker Pake, of course.
And more importantly, what do you think of Parker's reaction to now being a dad?
I think Parker's thrilled about being a dad. He's definitely out of his comfort zone, but he has good instincts, lots of great help and a strong desire to be a good parent. He develops a real friendship, closeness and caring for Eric. It's looking like the best and biggest challenge of his life and he's up to the test... mainly.

After the Episode with April Bowlby: Season 4, Episode 3

This week, April Bowbly tackled your questions from Facebook and Twitter about "Drop Dead Diva" Season 4, Episode 3:
Luisa on Facebook asks: "Does Stacy find a new love interest this season and does Fred come back? You guys were such a great couple. I miss him."
This season Stacy seems to be 100 percent committed to her work at the Pakery. But there is a little love twist towards the end of Season 4 for her. We miss Fred too! It was such a hard episode to play. Fred does return at the end of the season, so keep a look out. We haven't lost him forever!
Speaking of Pakery, Barbara wants to know: "Do you bake in real life?"
I do bake in real life. I love it. It gives me a sense of accomplishment. I make a mean strawberry rhubarb pie. And I love making jams. (Hey April, send some over to the Lifetime office!)
Lisa, among other fans, are buzzing about your new look. Why did you cut your hair?
I cut my hair because I thought it would be a good change for Stacy. She's had the same hair style for 3 years, and I feel like change is always something to be played with and tried out. So Stacy is trying out the new hair. New hair, new career! It's a good year for Stacy.
There seems like there's going to be so many twists and turns. Kristyn from Facebook wants to know what can we expect from Stacy for the rest of the season?
Stacy is more grounded than ever. She's really fulfilled by her new career and I think she has much more focus then previous seasons. She's finds new ways to be supportive of Jane. She still has that quirky sensibility about her, but she's is maturing. And I think that is so important.

After the Episode with Jackson Hurst: Season 4, Episode 2

As promised, for Season 4's "After the Episode" series, it's not just "Drop Dead Diva" creator Josh Berman who will be answering your Qs from Facebook and Twitter. For this week's installment, I proudly present Grayson himself, Jackson Hurst. So without further ado, here are Jackson's answers to all your questions about "Drop Dead Diva" Season 4, Episode 2:
Joan on Facebook wants to know: "Grayson tends to gravitate towards women with model good looks on the outside with little within the inside. Can Grayson handle what Jane has to offer?"
I beg to differ. Grayson has dated an array of women, some very interesting and with depth. (Bt yes, they were easy on the eyes). And he especially loved Deb, saw something well below the surface that he wanted to experience for the rest of his life. He naturally sees the same in Jane and is falling for her. Granted, she's not your conventional beauty, but Grayson sees well beyond that.
Adriana brings up a good question: "If you were in his position in real life would you handle it the same way Grayson has?"
No, I wouldn't hesitate. When you love someone, when you want something so bad, you gotta go after it. Life is short. (Editor's note: Aww! <333)
Facebooker Rosemary asks, "Do you have any input as to how the Deb, Jane and Grayson is going to play out?"
Grayson will always love Deb. Trust me, the death of someone close only strengthens your love for them. I think Grayson will fall for her as Jane, regardless of his beliefs or lack thereof in the supernatural.
Christina says that Grayson is "sweet, innocent, handsome and a man with a good heart." But she is curious if Grayson has a "dark side"?
Dark is subjective. He's troubled, he's been through the ringer, his upbringing was not ideal, but he powers through. He's become hardened, but still has a heart. The fight, the battle that's what people want to see and actors want to play.
Joann simply asks, "What's been your highlight being on the show?" It's my first time doing TV and honestly, working with different scripts, different directors and different actors it keeps you on your toes, keeps it interesting. It's like playing a 4-month ball tournament, minus the elbows to the head.

After the Episode with Josh: Season 4 Premiere

To celebrate Season 4 of "Drop Dead Diva," we're giving you access to the show's all-knowing executive producer and creator Josh Berman! Josh is answering all of your questions from Facebook and Twitter after each new episode, and in the upcoming weeks, there will be special guest dishers also answering your Qs. (::cough cough:: "Diva" cast members ::cough cough::) Here are Josh's answers to your questions about the Season 4 premiere:
Karen, along with MANY other Facebook fans, want to know, will their beloved Fred come back?
Fred will absolutely come back this season, but we’re not going to tell anyone when he’s coming back because we want viewers to enjoy the surprise The reason he’s comes back will be one of our best twists and surprises ever.
Christina on Facebook was curious about the significance of Nikki (Kim Kardashian) and Stacy accidentally switching phones.
The significance of the phone switch, which only about half the audience caught – so for the viewers that caught that, you’re the smart ones – it will pay off in the very next episode. It has to do with the new Nikki and Stacy relationship.
Speaking of Nikki, "Diva" fan Christine "didn't get" how Nikki was "supposed to be a relationship expert, but makes a living selling muffins." Can you explain, Josh?
We all have our strengths no matter what we do and there’s always that one person in the office that you go to for advice, and Nikki is the person at the juice bar that you go to for advice.
Melanie "loved the banter between Luke and Jane" and thought it was a "nice introduction for the two of them." And Tracy thinks that Luke has "potential." But Carri wants to know, "Can Luke become Janes new love interest?"
We always played Fred more as Jane’s litte brother and Luke is a man with his own agenda. I’d like to think of Luke as a guardian angel with balls. He’s not scared to go toe-to-toe with Jane, and I think you’re going to see a lot of colors on this guardian angel. He comes on strong and in truth, Jane comes on strong. So I think they’re going to be good together.
Facebooker Tracie got straight to the point when asking Josh her question, "If Grayson asks her, is Jane going to have to deny being Deb?"
I think our cliffhanger this week was one of our best cliffhangers and one of the first times we’ve ended and episode on Grayson instead of on Jane, And that whole story line gets paid off next week. How Grayson deals with this information is permeated throughout this coming Sunday’s episode. I think this coming Sunday, if you’re a true Jane/Grayson fan, is an episode not to be missed. It takes their story further than we’ve ever gone before and the last scene is my favorite scene that we’ve ever shot. The cast loves this episode. It’s really, really emotional.
And last, but certainly not least, it's time to give an old guest star some love! Judy, who I can only assume is a huge Claymate, asks, "When are you going to have Clay Aiken again?" Clay Aiken and I have actually have become good friends thanks to “Drop Dead Diva.” At the moment we don’t have plans to have him come back. But I love the guy, so if he wants to come back, he can.
