Maybe because it’s “Friday, Friday, Friday” or because I’m feeling extra girly in honor of the wedding-and-sundress-and-barbecue-filled long weekend ahead of us, but I wanted to give you a sneak peek at how the stars of “Drop Dead Diva” get all glammed-up in today’s Diva Dish!
Behold: actress April Bowlby gets a last-minute touch-up of her makeup on the set of Season 3. Looks like she’s ready for her close-up (although this naturally lovely lady would probably be anyway)!
I’ll let you all in on a little secret; the last few days I’ve been watching a lot (read: more than usual…) of the show in preparation for a special surprise for our biggest “Drop Dead Diva” fans out there, and I have rediscovered how amazing Stacy is! I know how could I forget in the first place? But, seeing her grow from a sweetly-shallow ingénue to the confident, take-charge woman at the end of Season 2 really inspired me. We could all learn a thing or two from Stacy and I know we could all use a friend like her! I wonder which of my friends would believe me if I died in a horrific citrus accident and came back to life in someone else’s body…
Now it's your turn to Diva Dish: What is your favorite Stacy moment from Seasons 1 and 2? And remember, if you have questions for "Drop Dead Diva" creator and executive producer, Josh Berman leave them in the comments below!
Since the number one question on your minds is usually "what will happen in Jane's love life?!?!" I know I'm not the only one who would die to intervene and play Cupid for some of our favorite "Drop Dead Diva" characters. But in Season 3 (premiering June 19!) it's time for the real deal, Ms. Millionaire Matchmaker herself, Patti Stanger to do the deed as a guest star on Season 3 of the show!
TVGuide's William Keck exclusively revealed today that Patti will appear on a Season 3 episode of "Drop Dead Diva" as a dating-show guru who makes enemies with Harrison & Parker's true dream team: Jane and Teri.
But will she be fixing up any of your favorite single (or taken?!) Divas? Read more about Patti Stanger on Season 3 of "Drop Dead Diva" here on TVGuide.com!
UPDATE, 6/2/2011: It looks like Patti Stanger may be doing more than just working her matchmaking magic on the show today, actress Kate Levering (who plays Kim on the show!) Tweeted that she was getting some "fabulous love advice" from the dating diva herself! Ooo, us next, please?!
Which "Drop Dead Diva" character do you think needs the most help from Patti Stanger?
The wait is over and the countdown to Season 3 can now officially begin! Lifetime has announced the date for "Drop Dead Diva"'s return; Season 3 will premiere Sunday, June 19! Until then, we'll be keeping you updated on all of the Season 3 news that we hear, and don't forget "Drop Dead Diva" Season 2 comes out on DVD May 3.

We're gearing up for another day of exciting Season 3 guest star scoop on the "Drop Dead Diva" Blog! The upcoming season is promising to be the funniest yet, with the always hilarious Wendy Williams and Wanda Sykes joining the cast as judges for an episode each. What more could be up creator Josh Berman's sleeves, you ask? On the show, Kate Levering's character Kim is a (super smart, super hot, overall fabulous) force to be reckoned with so it only makes sense that the woman fit to play her sister on "Drop Dead Diva" is spitfire comedian Kathy Griffin!
Kathy Griffin is joining the cast of "Drop Dead Diva" for an episode in Season 3 as Kim's sis and someone who does not get along with Jane's assistant Teri, played by Margaret Cho. Comedians Kathy and Margaret go way back and Griffin joked that playing Cho's arch-nemesis for an episode was the "role I was born to play." Margaret Tweeted Wednesday morning: "So excited to have @iamwandasykes and @kathygriffin on ddd this season!" We couldn't agree more!
Tune in to the all-new episode featuring Kathy Griffin Sunday, August 14 at 9 pm/8c on Lifetime!

We keep thinking that we couldn't possibly be any more excited about Season 3 of "Drop Dead Diva" until another serving of guest star scoop comes our way! Last week, we found out that Wanda Sykes will guest star on Season 3 of "Drop Dead Diva" as Judge Wright, who presides over the case of a high school senior not allowed to bring her girlfriend as her date for prom.
Now, as AOL's TVSquad is reporting, Clay Aiken, Lance Bass and "Married... With Children"'s Amanda Bearse will appear on the episode as well. Check out the story on TVSquad for more details about what characters these stars will play!

I've had a major girl crush on Margaret Cho since the first time I saw her do stand-up when I was (probably) a little too young to get most of the jokes. On "Drop Dead Diva," we get a weekly dose of the unstoppable comedian as Teri, Jane's super sassy assistant with a heart of gold.
Check out an interview with Margaret where she reveals how she got her role on "Drop Dead Diva," who Teri really is and what it's like working with the show's cast.
Watch Teri from the beginning on tomorrow's "Drop Dead Diva" marathon starting at 8 pm et/7c on Lifetime!
Dish below: Who is your favorite character on "Drop Dead Diva"?
We're just days away from the "Drop Dead Diva" marathon on Lifetime this Friday, April 8 starting at 8 pm/9c and now we've got some super exciting show news for you! Entertainment Weekly's resident Diva Mandi Bierly revealed today that the oh-so-hilarious Wanda Sykes will be guest starring as a judge on Episode 6 of the upcoming Season 3!
The "New Adventures of Old Christine" star is set to appear as Judge Yvonne Wright. Sykes as Judge Wright will preside over a case inspired by Mississippi high school student Constance McMillen — a senior who was restricted from attending her prom because she wanted to go with her girlfriend.
"Drop Dead Diva" creator Josh Berman spilled to EW that he had his eye on casting Sykes after seeing her present an award at the 2010 GLAAD Media Awards (where "Diva" was up for an Outstanding Individual Episode award for Season 2's "Queen of Mean"). In the interview, Josh describes Sykes’ character as "acerbic, very funny and clever, and doesn’t take any crap from anyone, as we would expect Wanda to be." The real-life Constance McMillen will even cameo in the episode as the judge’s bailiff.
Stay tuned to the "Drop Dead Diva" Blog for show updates and more info on Season 3, airing in June on Lifetime!
