Countdown to Season 7: Spotlight on New Faces

Posted By kim_messina 10:00am GMT

Meet the new kids on the block...well, base!

Katherine "Kat" Young (Brooke Shields): Air Force Colonel Katherine "Kat" Young is the brash and brilliant new Wing Commander of Joint Base Marshal Bring. A crack C-17 pilot who can hold her own in the boys club atmosphere of the military, she’s hardly touched down in her new assignment before she clashes with Army General Michael Holden. Never one to step down from a fight, Kat is a fierce advocate for the Air Force as she and Holden jockey for their respective branches at the highest levels of power on base. Only after their initial skirmishes does Holden learn of Kat’s tragic past, discovering they have more in common than he thought.

Maggie Hall (Torrey DeVitto): Maggie Hall doesn’t exactly fit the mold of a traditional housewife. A former airborne soldier with three deployments in Iraq under her belt, Maggie is more comfortable fixing army trucks or riding her motorcycle than she is making meatloaf or decorating her living room. But now Maggie is hanging up her dog tags and focusing on her new mission: marriage and motherhood. Staff Sergeant Eddie Hall is her second husband, and together they are working on blending their family—her son, Tanner, 10, and his daughter, Caroline, 14—under one roof. Hailing from the wrong side of the tracks in Saginaw, Michigan, Maggie has always considered herself "one of the guys" more than "one of the girls" but as the pressures of Army life mount, she’s going to need the strength and support of the Army wives sisterhood more than ever.

Eddie Hall (Burgess Jenkins): Staff Sergeant Eddie Hall, an ex-Ranger with a difficult divorce and a loss of rank in his rearview mirror, is looking forward to a fresh start at Joint Base Marshall Bring with his second wife, Maggie, a former soldier herself. It was the strength of their friendship—and eventual love— that helped him weather his divorce and get his career back on track. Eddie has sole custody of his 14-year-old daughter, Caroline, but getting her to blend with Maggie and her 11-year-old son from a prior marriage is proving a challenge.

Latasha Montclair (Ashanti): Latasha Montclair is a force of nature, an indomitable woman to whom "Southern Hospitality" isn’t just a concept, it’s a way of life. Latasha finds joy in navigating the daily chaos of singlehandedly wrangling her three children—Quincy Jr. aka "Deuce," 11, Nyah, 8, and Gabe, 6—while her husband, Quincy, is deployed. Family always comes first, but she knows the value of a fun night out with her girlfriends and how a little "me time" goes a long way. Latasha is no stranger to struggle and heartache, but when life hands you lemons, she’ll show you how to make lemonade with a splash of sweet tea.

Qunicy Montclair (Joshua Henry): Corporal Quincy Montclair, "the old man" of his platoon, is respected and well-liked by his fellow soldiers. A loving husband to his wife Latasha, and devoted father to their three children, Quincy was a successful chef in Atlanta before joining the Army. A desire to serve his country, coupled with a need to provide for his growing family, prompted Quincy to trade his chef’s hat for a Kevlar helmet. His easy manner and quiet wisdom makes him a natural leader in the field.

Holly Truman (Elle McLemore): Holly Truman is a long way from Effingham, IL, where her family’s farm has been the only home she’s ever known. Holly is head over heels in love with Tim, her high school sweetheart, and the two married just after graduation before Tim headed to boot camp. Now that Tim is deployed and Holly is on her own for the first time ever, she keeps herself busy by baking her award winning pies, taking care of their pet rabbit, and learning the ropes of being an Army wife from her new friends. It’s a brave new world and, with a little encouragement, Holly Truman is ready to take it on.

Tim Truman (Jesse McCartney): Private Tim Truman, a fresh-faced recruit from southern Illinois, is a cheerful overachiever eager to prove himself. Married to the love of his life, Holly, he's kidded as a Romeo for writing to her every day. Considered something of a platoon mascot, Tim yearns to be seen as a fully-fledged member of the team.
