Here at Lifetime, we understand the importance of supporting and giving back to military families in need. To do our part and celebrate Season 5 of "Army Wives," Lifetime partnered with social media aid organization BroadCause.com to raise funds for military families in the U.S. — one Tweet at a time!
During the first week of Season 5, Lifetime promised to donate $1 for every Tweet and Facebook post about "Army Wives" to non-profit organization Blue Star Families. Formed by a group of military spouses in 2008, Blue Star Families works to raise awareness of the challenges of military family life.
With the support (and RTs!) of fans like you, we met our goal of $50,000. A big thank you goes out to our Twitter fans, to Blue Star Families and of course to all of our military families out there!
