The nominations for the 42nd Annual NAACP Image Awards have been announced and Wendy Davis is up for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series for her work on the Lifetime television series "Army Wives." Watch a video below of the actress discussing her character, Lt. Colonel Joan Burton.
In total, Lifetime Networks received 11 NAACP Image Awards nominations, including one for Lucy Liu's performance in "Marry Me" and nine others for LMN movies. Congratulations to Wendy! We will be cheering her on when the awards are presented Friday, March 4 and can't wait to see what the Army Wife wears on the red carpet.
As reported in the NorthWest Cable News, Mary Anne Merkely, a military nurse stationed at Fort Lewis in Tacoma, Washington, won a local contest, receiving a two-hour styling consultation with "Project Runway" Season 7 winner, Seth Aaron Henderson. Mary Anne's husband, also serving in the military, just returned home from Afghanistan and was able to see her try on all of her new-Seth Aaron approved looks. How fun!
