Jeremy Davidson on the Freidrich's Ataxia Research Alliance
"Army Wives" actor Jeremy Davidson (Chase Moran) and his fellow cast members share their passion for educating others on Freidrich's Ataxia (a rare neuromuscular disease) and the ongoing work of the Freidrich's Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA).
Read a personal note from Jeremy to the "Army Wives" fans below:
Dear "Army Wives" supporters,
I met sisters Sam and Alex Bode when my wife Mary Stuart Masterson was directing a film called "The Cake Eaters." That film is centered on a girl, beautifully played by Kristen Stewart, who is battling Friedreich's Ataxia. Sam, Alex and their amazing mother Mary Caruso helped Mary Stuart and Kristen in their research by sharing the very intimate struggles they have faced since they were diagnosed as children. We have remained close ever since.
As a new father, I can only hope that I would have half the strength Mary and thousands of other FARA parents have had to find in order to raise their children to be positive, outspoken, and productive members of society. The people at FARA have been a huge inspiration to our family. And I'm extremely proud that everyone in the "Army Wives" family was so giving of their time and energy to make this video a reality. (A particular shout out goes to Drew Fuller.)
