When did you realize you had this gift: "Although I started having visions when I was four or five years old, I became aware that I was different and had a gift when I was in high school. I didn’t know exactly how it worked or why it was happening to me, but I realized most people did not have the experiences I had and kept it mostly to myself and my family.
When I first realized I had a gift it was really scary. I was really young and couldn’t understand why I was being given visions of unfortunate events that seemed to be out of my control. It took years until I realized the purpose for these visions was not to scare me, but to warn against events that could be prevented by prayer, direct communication with the party involved, or simply by me being a more supportive friend!
Does anyone else in your family have these gifts? If so, who? Yes. Many of my family members possess psychic gifts with diverse abilities. My mother, father, grandparents, aunt and sister all have had enigmatic experiences with the spirit realm; whether these are manifested as visions, clairaudience, prophetic dreams, flashes of intuition, remote viewing, etc., it is not uncommon for us to embrace these gifts as part of who we are.
Are any of your friends or family skeptics? None of my family or friends are skeptics, as they respect my gift and respect the person that I am. Being psychic, or highly intuitive, as I call it, is simply another layer that makes me the spirit that I am, experiencing a life in this physical body.
What are your sentiments toward skeptics? How can we possibly believe that there is only the reality we can touch and see? How can we believe that just because things are not tangible they do not exist? Can we see the air we breathe? Does the fact that we can’t see it make it less real or vital to our physical reality?
Have you ever used your gifts to help people? Explain: I use my gift to help people whenever God creates a window of opportunity for His light to shine through! Sharing my gift with others is not always a conscious decision; there are many times when just being at the right place at the right time for a complete stranger can save their lives. I believe we are all angels in disguise and the fact that I have this gift does not make me any different. God always finds ways for my gift to be of service!
What's the best part about having such a gift? The best part about having this gift is the responsibility of being of service!
What's the worst part about having such a gift? I have learned that having this gift does not have a downside. Once you’ve gained the emotional and spiritual maturity it takes to accept it, nurture it and develop it, it is a wonderful gift from God! This is my gift to the world!
