Angela and Chloe

While Angela was the Director of the Association of Rhythmic Talent dance company, she realized her daughter's passion for dance when she noticed Chloe was mimicking the company members at the barre. Both Angela and her husband have a strong dance background, making them very understanding and involved in their daughter's dance career. Angela wants her daughter is to be effective in whatever she chooses to do and to be a lifelong learner. Her advice to Chloe for "Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition" is to completely submerge herself in the experience and have no regrets. Angela and Chloe currently reside in North Carolina.

What's your favorite color?
My favorite colors change from day to day. Today it may be yellow, because there is something so uplifting about the color of yellow, and then there are days that turquoise is the color for me. There is so much beauty in each color, and I am refreshed in having a different favorite color each and every day.

What do you think you are learning about the most from this experience?
The Institute of Divine arts teaches its students to be tools of expression, as well as to create artistically to allow others to experience life through our movement. We are taught to evoke emotion and to be transparent and authentic. I am honored to be a part of a movement that teaches us that dance is not a sport, but an artistic form that can save a life, or provide hope. Competitions allow us to broaden our audience, and allow us to appreciate works from various choreographers and dancers. Competitions have broadened my outlook and exposed me to things and people that have touched my life in a special way. I have learned that hard work, dedication and faith can make your dreams come true.
