yea! noelle and doug! im so happy they won....
they danced the best on the show in my opinion!

i have been reading some of these comments;it ashame that people would try to talk down about them after the worked
hard to win.thats jus petty.some people are such hater's gosh.they really should get a life and stop meesing up others!
Goodness sake, how can ya' be mad about a show that truly brings fathers and daughters together. Noelle & Doug (from GILBERTSVILLE, PA deserved the prize, especially cool because I live about 1/2 hr. away from there. Ian did a good job and I am anxious to see next season's contestants.
I certainly hope they are plaaning on replacing the host. He is probably the worst host I have ever seen on TV. He could not have been any worse if he tried.
I just caught the final episode on On-demand. Congratulations to all of the show’s 20 contestants, especially Noelle and Doug. This is the only reality-TV competition I’ve ever followed. It’s nice to find family-friendly programs like this to watch, and I hope the show enjoys continued success down the road.

A few notes to the show’s producers: Someone a few weeks ago suggested adding up each pair’s ‘cumulative’ scores from week to week to determine which pairs go into the drop zone. I wholeheartedly support that suggestion. It’s frustrating as a viewer to see two consistently-strong teams suddenly in the drop zone because they had an off week with a particular style, while a weaker pair avoids elimination by having a good week. The goal should be to create a format that allows the overall best teams to advance from week to week, not just the best teams from a single episode. This became an issue this season, and I found it significantly diminished my enthusiasm for following the show to see people leaving who (based on their overall performance) should have been allowed to advance.

The above suggestion would also have the benefit of adding more suspense to the program since it’s easy to do the math in your head each week and figure out who’s in the drop zone before the end of the show with the current format. With the suggested format, you wouldn’t know until Ian made the announcement.

Another suggestion is to drop Street Dancing from the program. It was by far the least entertaining episode this season, and I watched them all more than once on On-demand. Street Dancing is probably the most physically demanding style, especially for the male dancers who are expected to do the type of ground work Jesse did. That style puts the daughter-father teams at a slight disadvantage as most dad’s can’t even begin to do that stuff, while the son-mother teams don’t have the problem of 50-year-old’s with bad backs trying to do spinning handstands. Almost all of the routines that week looked like watered-down Street Dancing, even Erick’s and Carol’s since Erick opted not to do any ground work. Of course, you could argue that every routine, regardless of the style, is somewhat watered down on account of the parents, but it becomes painfully obvious in a dynamic and physically-demanding style like Street Dancing. Despite almost every pro dancer (even Nicole) claiming this style was one of their strengths, the episode was the least entertaining of the bunch. The one bright spot was Brooke’s and Eric’s routine, but you can’t count on having parents as capable as Eric. Maybe Salsa could replace Street Dancing next season.

Don’t know if I’m just having browser problems or what, but I can’t access the Cast forums after logging in. I was able to post in Noelle’s and Doug’s forum by clicking on their photo above, but my pointer doesn’t switch to a hand when I put it on the Cast menu above. I’ll have to try again later.

Lastly, (for my daughter) will there be a DVD of this season released?
Hi everyone-

I cannot even begin to describe this experience. I hope that all of the contestants brought families and friends togeter on a Friday night to be entertained. I have gained a great deal of knowledge about this industry, myself, and my relationship with my father. We are blessed you have all let us into your lives and homes. We thank everyone for your continued support and words of encouragement. We really appreicate it. Coming from a small town with big dreams- never give up.

Always dream.
Always believe.

Lots of love and MANY THANKS!
-Noelle
Congratulations to all 3 couples in the finale! Brooke and Eric were our favorites and by far the best couple, but the best doesn't necessarily win on these shows. Brooke, you were the most technical dancer and definitely the most entertaining of all the dancers on the show. I hope the rumors are true that you've already gotten a huge job offer from being seen on the show....we can't wait to see more of you on TV. We also heard that you will be making the big move -- you are going to take Hollywood by storm! You and Eric really stood out from the rest and you're the winners in our eyes. You guys made the show worth watching!!
Karyn85 & HersheyKisses0…Get a grip, this was a dance competition! Somebody wins somebody loses, just maybe if you focused on your attitude you too could be a Winner.
Brooke & Eric
You guys were fabulous each week and you so deserved to win this show! We were so disappointed, along with a lot of America. Brooke, you're such a beautiful dancer in every discipline and I know you'll go places with or without being the official winner! We wish you luck in all that you do and we can't wait to see more of your beautiful face and talent. Eric, you are just a natural dancer. No other parent could top your talent and as a couple, you guys were the best!! We love your relationship and the fact that you are both so genuine and not artificial. We love you guys! You should have your own show (smile). God Bless you both!
hello hows it going
i just signed up for my life time
i really love ya mama dont dance
its a great show
Finally! A reality show (of sorts) without all the scripted drama. Thank you for the great entertainment. It was wonderful to watch parents work and bond with their children. It was also refreshing to watch all of the participants treat each other with kindness and respect! It makes me wish I had a child that was a dancer - I would love to do something like this. I am looking forward to next season!
WHERE CAN i WRITE TO ERIC AND HIS MOM AND LET THEM KNOW HOW AWESOME THEY WERE?
I think that it was great that Noelle and Doug won. He had improved so much. He made the last dance his best. You could see the love of father and daughter. It was wonderful!!!
YES!! Noelle and Doug you kicked butt from the start!! I am sooo glad you two won! You deserved every second of it! In the words of Ben Vereen "I am overjoyed for you!" Noelle you are such an inspirational dancer and i hope that all of America got to see that over these many weeks. You have been a role model for me for so many years, and you are probably an even bigger role model for even more people who haven't gotten to see you dance until this show! Doug you were amazing out there! You improved soo much!! It still hasnt hit me yet that this show is already OVER!! What are we going to do every Friday? Re-runs Lifetime?? Hope you had the time of your life. See you tonight when you come home!!!! (:
to Seattlelite: if you have Comcast/On Demand the finale and most of the other episodes are on there but the finale won't be on there until Tuesday. I hope this helped a little bit and you get to see it!! (:
YOU ALL WERE THE GREATEST, FROM THE BEGINNING TO THE END. I'M SO VERY HAPPY FOR YOU. GREAT JOB, GOOD LUCK!!!!!
Can anyone tell me if the West coast could even vote....the show was at 9:00 PM but at the beginning of the show we were informed that the voting was already closed and this was a earlier recorded show?????
Congratulations Noelle and Doug. Heather & I Are very proud of you both. Great job and we know this will send your career soring!!! You are a great role model for all the young and old alike. The girls at Premiere are extremely lucky to have you as an instructor and friend. Doug you were great and it was nice to see you connect with Noelle. Maybe Soul Man number 2!! Hope to see you in Premiere 12!!!!!!!!
I loved the show, loved the judges and the contestant did a great job. Congratulations to Noelle & Doug. Chris Judd was right you did a great job and improve every week that's what the contest is all about. Looking forward for next season to see Ian, the judges and the show!!!
This is one of the best shows on T.V. You just have to smile and it makes you feel good. The Dancers were such talented people and the parents were so loving, with the exception of one. Your judges were excellent and I feel the best on T.V. They were experts on dance but they were also kind and professional and didn't make it "about them". It was all about the dancers. I did feel bad that California was left out of the voting. I voted for the entire time but couldn't at the end. If that could be changed, it would be great. Thanks for the entertainment!!!
Ok....so I missed the finale and what do you know.....Lifetime re-runs every other show....over and over and over. And of course to my luck...I do not see a schedule for the re-run of the finale of "Your Momma Don't Dance." I am almost certain that they re-ran it later on Friday night...but not the finale....What is up with that?!!!! Please, can someone up at the studio air the finale again? It would be much appreciated. Thanks
