After 16-year-old Stephanie Daley is accused of hiding her pregnancy and then killing her newborn child, forensic psychologist Lydie Crane is hired to uncover the truth.
This movie was originally not true, but unfortunately it became true. If you don't know the recent event that occured at the UofA, and young woman living in the dorms had her baby in the dormitory bathroom and killed her child. She put it in a bag and tried to suficate it.
These events took place the day after a viewing of this movie. Don't believe me? look it up!
Its sad that this movie gave this girl the idea to do that and i think it is wrong! i did however find it interesting, but for me, knowing the young UofA student, it hurts to see how she got the idea to do it. :(
I love Amber Tamblyn in this! I don't usually go for Lifetime drama, but this was great. I like how it was set in the present where she was being questioned and everything, but there were 'flashbacks' to show what happened. This was a very good quality movie and one of the best I've seen on Lifetime!
Don't worry - it's supposed to leave you with questions. As per the jumping frames, a good portion of it was flashbacks. I have the movie on DVD, and saw it when it was in (very limited release) in theaters. In a way, you're supposed to make your own decision of whether Stephanie was truly guilty or not (even with the ending that we saw.)
this movie left me like WHAT? I didn't get any answers or actually nothing .. the ending was weird made no sense.. and I was really looking forward to seeing this to.. oh well..
This movie left more questions unanswered than it answered. It was weird, disjointed and I couldn't follow the jumps in time frame and location. For me, it was 2 hrs. wasted.
I don't know this movie just did not make a lot of sense to me. It dragged on and jump from random thing to random thing and left a lot of questions unanswered. If there is another movie about this story or a book I would like to explore that.
I too am afraid that they may butcher it...Has anyone seen a promo for it yet?
As far as the title change goes, perhaps that had to do with not being able to acquire the rights, but that's just a guess. I have no idea otherwise...
It was an amazing movie. Now I fear they will butcher it up so it is "MADE FOR TV MOVIE" style and not the true storying telling it once was. I urge you to rent "Stephanie Daley" as soon as you get the chance. It's amazing.
why are you calling it "what she knew"???? its called Stephanie Daley its a great weird movie i have owned it since 2006! when it came out and i assure you its called Stephanie Daley
