I read the book, and they definately left out a lot. But, I really enjoyed this movie as it was more of an extension of the book. It got into ther relationship aspect of the characters more intricately, and actually, I,was much more emotionally involved when I saw this connection between the families.
you should definately read the book first, but you have to keep and open mind when it comes to this movie.

I was really excited to watch this movie..and now i am very very disappointed! The book was 900x better. They left sooooo much out. I expected this to be at least a 3 hour long movie. Things didnt happen anything like this in the book. IF YOU HAVENT READ THE BOOK, DO NOT WATCH THE MOVIE! not worth it.

Why do movies always seem to disappoint me after I have already read the book? This movie does no justice to the novel. If you have not read the book, you are truly missing out. You won't want to put it down!!
