Lifetime: Do you think the film's two main characters in "More Sex & the Single Mom," Jess and Alex, are in lust or in love?
O'Grady: It's a little bit of both. People often confuse the two. But for my character [Jess], it's more of a hopeful love.

Lifetime: Jess and Alex met at the office. What's your ideal way to meet new people?
O'Grady: I don't think there is one anymore. A bar wouldn't be my choice place - that's more where people go for sex. Some of my worst dates have come from being fixed up. Work can be a good place, but it's kind of a catch-22 when you mesh your professional and personal lives. I usually don't mix the two, but that's how I met my boyfriend.

Lifetime: Jess and Alex fell for each other during a late-night dinner. What's your idea of a perfect first date?
O'Grady: A dinner where you just talk and talk. When my boyfriend and I went out on our first date, we talked in a restaurant until an hour after it closed and then we talked for another three hours in front of my house. We're still like that now - the days are not long enough for us.

Lifetime: Both main characters experience an awakening after years of being unhappy. Do you feel that as you get older, you have a better sense of what you want?
O'Grady: Absolutely. You become less tolerant of what doesn't work. You don't need the unnecessary drama anymore. I guess I'm speaking for myself, but I'd rather be alone than with someone who isn't healthy for me.

Lifetime: What is your biggest romantic regret?
O'Grady: Are you kidding? I have lots of them! I would love to have a huge eraser to wipe out a few of them. One of my favorite jokes is that when I look back at my relationships, especially [those] in my 20s, I don't even have the excuse of saying, "Those were the drug years." Those were just the stupid years.

Lifetime: What is your favorite love story?
O'Grady: I like "The Sound of Music," "The Last of the Mohicans" and "West Side Story." I love movies where opposites attract. The whole "Romeo and Juliet" thing is what I find most appealing. And the on-screen chemistry in these movies is amazing.

Lifetime: What do you think is essential for creating on-screen chemistry?
O'Grady: I think it just happens. You can act it, but it helps when there is a connection with the other actor. I think it was good that I met Grant Show before; he was friends with an old boyfriend of mine, so I felt comfortable around him.

Lifetime: Why do you think people will enjoy this movie?
O'Grady: It's a strong relationship movie - not just [in terms of] a male-female relationship, but between mother and daughter. It's very sexy - and, hey, it's got Grant Show!
