Go behind the scenes with Antoinette Messam, costume designer for "Killer Hair" and "Hostile Makeover," as she takes us through the distinctive style of the main characters of the Crimes of Fashion movies.
I really enjoyed watching this movie and especially the character development that evolves between her best friends, they all have great chemistry, but one aspect of the film bothered me. She seems to find these clues and piece together the whole case yet she never receives any of the credit or accolades, each time she get's closer her boss and the police try to discredit her by telling her to get back to her fashion column, a little sexist if you ask me. She should be on the force solving these cases not behind the desk of a tabloid magazine, she mentioned in the film that she majored in journalism but never is given the opportunity to shine.
I loved both Killer Hair and Hostile Makeover. I hope more Fashion Crime mysteries will be forthcoming. The characters Lacey and Vic have great chemistry. I love the friendships between Lacey and Stella. I hope things heat up between Vic and Lacey. Both of these movies have great characters, warmth, comedy, and mystery which makes them perfect in my book.
