November 20: Christy Porter

Christy Porter is founder of Hidden Harvest, an organization dedicated to taking produce left behind in farm fields and distributing it to impoverished families. The produce-recovery organization uses food crops discarded every year in the fields due to blemishes, overproduction and dwindling market prices, and hires local farmers to harvest the crops and distribute them to over 10,000 families each month.
