"Song for the Hopeful" is featured in the Lifetime Original Movie "Living Proof." The film tells the moving true story of Dr. Dennis Slamon (Connick), the UCLA doctor who helped develop the breast cancer drug, Herceptin. "Living Proof" premieres Saturday, October 18, at 9pm (ET/PT) on Lifetime Television.

The movie and the song were a labor of love for Connick, who lost his mother to cancer at the age of 13. Connick said, "There are many songs of inspiration, thanks and encouragement for people in need. There aren't many songs about people in need who have accepted their present state. This is a song for people confident in their knowledge of something better to come...they are hopeful, they are faithful."
