Stop Breast Cancer for Life

Posted by rebecca 5:32pm GMT

The 2013 Lifetime Breast Cancer Awareness Month campaign, Stop Breast Cancer for Life, marks our 19th year advocating for breast cancer research and awareness. We have been able to use the power of the Lifetime brand and our engaged audience to reach and mobilize women and families in millions of homes across the country, working in conjunction with our cable affiliate partners, sponsors and leading breast cancer organizations to create awareness and generate donation for breast cancer research.

The theme of this year’s campaign is “The End of Breast Cancer Starts with Me”. Our message is clear. If you want to see an end to breast cancer, YOU have to get involved and take action. We have partnered with two national breast cancer organizations, the Ma Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation (www.dslrf.org) and the National Breast Cancer Coalition (www.breastcancerdeadine2020.com) to bring this vision to life.

With the mission to Act with Love so we can have a future without breast cancer, the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation and its Army of Women (www.armyofwomen.org) initiative is giving every woman and man in the country the opportunity to become active participants in breast cancer prevention research. With over 380,000 grassroots volunteers, they are moving breast cancer beyond a cure by understanding the cause and ways to prevent it. Sign up for the Army of Women (www.armyofwomen.org) today and be an active participant to end breast cancer.

The National Breast Cancer Coalition, has a mission, since its founding in 1991 to end breast cancer. Now, NBCC has set a deadline: Breast Cancer Deadline 2020® – by January 1, 2020, we will know how to end breast cancer. Breast Cancer Deadline 2020® brings together unprecedented collaborations to stop people from getting breast cancer and stop people from dying from the disease. You can help end breast cancer by 2020 by signing up to be on the “clock” and becoming an advocate. Visit www.BreastCancerDeadline2020.org/Lifetime for more information and to sign up TODAY.

Every 2 minutes a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer, and every 13 minutes a woman dies from this disease. It will take all of us to end breast cancer once and for all. Join us by supporting our partners so we can stop breast cancer for life.
