i love this movie. it is sad though that the dad took him and did all those horrible things to him i would like to see it again

i love this movie and i cried when he was talking about what his dad did and said to him about his mother told him how his mother did not like him or was so tired of him

i only saw about an hour and 15 minutes i think...
the last thing i saw was when he set the babies room on fire by accident...
he was hiding behind the tree saying i didnt mean to i didnt mean to...
how did it end???
does any1 no when it will be on again???
can i watch it online???
can i rent it???
can i buy it???
anything will help...thanks...

P.S. i didnt even no that was based on a true story...
i feel very very sad for the boy and the family for what he has gone through..

This movie was great but the true story frustrates me--if his dad was going to be abuse why take the child?JERK

Typically abusive spouses and parent are control freaks! They cannot control their own lives so they try to control someone weaker and smaller than them, a sure thing as they can't fight back. Usually they abuse animals too.

Andrew finally opened up to his mother after spending the summer on a farm. The ex-husband had told Andrew that his mother was tired of him and wanted him out of the house. Andrew told his mother that his father, "the other woman", and he moved around a lot. The last place they stayed (a trailer) was the longest they stayed somewhere. Andrew wasn't allowed outside during the daytime, so he stayed inside all day and watched tv. At night the dad would put him outside - tied to a long string. Andrew would climb a tree and try to sleep...knowing there were animals all around.

The movie was based on a true story. The ex-husband was arrested and sent to prison (though it didn't say for how long).

How did this movie end? I had to leave before it was over and Andrew had just had the fight with the boy at school and his mother was at the principal's office. Please tell me how it ended. thanks
