William Baldwin has distinguished himself as an actor/producer/writer who continues to showcase his multitude of talents in the world of film, television and music.Most recently, Baldwin returned to primetime television as Gordon Flint in the NBC series “Parenthood.” In April 2010, he joined the cast of the hit CW television series “Gossip Girl” as Dr. William van der Woodsen. Baldwin’s recurring role on “Gossip Girl” follows his 2008-2009 success as Patrick Darling on the ABC series “Dirty Sexy Money.”

Baldwin has appeared in over 25 films, including “Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” “Noise,” “Humble Pie,” “The Squid & The Whale,” “One Eyed King,” “Relative Values,” “Brotherhood of Murder,” “Virus,” “Shattered Image,” “Curdled,” “Fair Game,” “A Pyromaniac’s Love Story,” “Sliver,” “Three of Hearts,” “Backdraft,” “Flatliners,” “Internal Affairs” and “The Preppie Murder.” He made his feature film debut in Oliver Stone’s “Born on the Fourth of July,” starring Tom Cruise.

Baldwin has also crossed over into the world of producing. In 2009, he executive-produced the Chynna and Vaughan album “One Reason,” which his wife, Chynna Phillips of the pop sensation Wilson Phillips, and singer/songwriter Vaughan Penn released in September 2009. He also co-produced the film “Lymelife,” starring Alec Baldwin and Cynthia Nixon. He has many other projects in the works, which he will be producing.

A native of Massapequa, New York, Baldwin graduated from Binghamton University with a degree in political science. He serves on the boards of Project ALS, The Massapequa Community Fund, Mercy Corps and The Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund. Baldwin lives in Santa Barbara, California, with his wife, Chynna Phillips, and his three children, Jameson, Vance and Brooke.
