Estranged sisters Virginia (Krista Bridges) and Blithe (Melinda Clarke) couldn't be more different. Virginia is a sedate housewife, while Blithe is a glamorous over-the-top party girl. When Virginia's husband dies suddenly, Blithe convinces her to fly across country and visit her. But Blithe has other plans than a simple visit - a road trip in her brand new Corvette convertible with a few special stops along the way, including a high school reunion. Soon Virginia realizes there was more in this road trip from the start than a simple getaway. Blithe, terminally ill, has taken this trip as a "farewell tour," to spend precious time with her estranged sister and to visit the glory of her youth. Through Blithe's road trip, Virginia finds a new self, a confident, forgiving, strong and independent self she never dreamed was there.
comments
its time to re-air this movie its great and judging by all the comments on here its obvious that this film has been very well recieved and we want more movies with the electrifying Melinda Clarke in them she is FANTASTIC or a tv show would be great
Any chance of a T.V. spin-off? (Of course you'd have to
get permission from the author to change the ending)
We miss Melinda Clarke on T.V.
It's a good one. However, the write-up is very detailed and it would have done better to arouse our curiosity I agree.
Also, I'm looking and saying the same thing "hiposh" said, IT'S A MUSTANG NOT A CORVETTE! Also, the sister did not "fly across the country" but drover her jalopy "Jeep" to see her (Virginia drove to see Blithe) and I don't know about "across the country" her son was with her one day and with Blithe the next meal - go figure (at least that looked like her son talking to Blithe)!
I would have liked to see Virginia and Blithe confront the plastic surgeon boyfriend about his sexual harrassment stunt he pulled on Virginia though, instead of the brush-over; however, I love the way that Blithe took off with no explanation to him. That was WAY COOL!
Besides all that, I love Lifetime movies! Lifetime ROCKS!
