About Mom At Sixteen

When 16-year-old Jacey Jeffries, a model student and superior athlete, finds out that she's expecting, no one is more surprised than her overbearing mother, Terry. After exploring all of her options, Jacey decides to keep the baby. Her mom agrees, but under one condition: She must keep the birth a secret.

Terry wants Jacey to have a normal teenage life, so she moves the family to a new town and insists on raising the newborn as her own son. Resentful at having to start over and live a complete lie, Jacey begins to experience a major meltdown. But... More

This movie was really emotional. I really liked it because it shows how teenagers really feel when they're in love and let sex occur between the boy and girl. It also shows that safe sex is a good thing because there are consequences and parents who would make many of their children suffer. I didn't like the mother, but I can sort of see where she's coming from. However, I would make my daughter take care of the child because she created it, not me. She did the deed, let her take care of the seed.
i love this movie...it is so true life.
Does anyone know how I can get the full length song that is played at the beginning of this movie? The first words of it are, "I love you with a fearless love so why am I afraid?"

I'd appreciate any information you can share about it. Send e-mail to hanifamt@yahoo.com
i love this movie you need to play this movie more often
I loved this movie
it was so sad to see how the other girls in the school treated her after they found out she had a baby
but look at them they were doing the same things and she was accualy dressing like a younge lady not a houchie

its weird to see peoples reaction like that cuz where im from its so small we are all used and exited when a friend has a baby no ones ridiculed even my 15 year old friend who had a baby at 14
the woman who played the mother did so well i didnt know weather to cry or slap her lol
hi
this is ma **** i seen this movie when it first came out and never saw it again until today
It's movies like this one that are destroying high schoolers' image to society. This movie portrays the majority of young girls as full-out ****s who wear skimpy clothing and openly talk about their sex lives. well, guess what- I am a high schooler and nothing in this movie is even close to being real. Most of my peers, both boys and girls, act like normal, responsible people, whose primary focus is on his or her future. Yes, there are the girls who "get around," but they usually have a bad home-life and are virtually shunned on the dating scene by the average student. They're not the norm. Old people enjoy this movie because they like to complain about the younger generation. They like to think what they want- that we're all misguided, aimless teens who lack modesty in all forms. What I hate the most about these kind of movies is that the middle-aged, non-ambitious mothers always "save the day." This gives real-life moms the impression that if they act like the moms they see on tv, they will magically fix their kid's problems. But they won't. And believe me- there are millions of non-working, middle-aged, brainwashed mothers who do nothing but but soak in the television all day. So enjoy the movie- but remember, none of this is even close to reality.
i agree but i still thought it had a good story line you cant say you didnt just want to hit her mom
i'm 15 myself and i love this movie yall probally like shes pregant to but no thats really not the case i like this moie becuase it teaches young girls the truth of what can happen to them even if it's not avaiable to it i also like it becuase it's a really could story based movie

I just love this movie. I actually had to DVR it the last time so I could watch it again. My hubby and I are wanting to adopt and I love to see both sides of the subject. My husband is adopted but, now has a great relationship with his birthmother and we want to have the same situation someday. If you or anyone you know is considering adoption please check out our website www.meetthesheiplines.com or call our toll free number 866-600-1759 we would love to hear from you!
i seen this movie and fell in love with it but i am also amother at 16 and some times i feel to consider a better life for my daughter and then i feel ashamed and i wonder how life would be with out her so i become selfish and rather fight then give it al up she deserves a mother and father who love her and a better shot in life then i had and her daddy
SHOULD I KEEP MY BABY BECASUE IM ONLY 15 AND MY BABYDAD IS 18 HE THINK WE SHOULDNT HAVE THE BABY BECAUSE HE THINK HE CANT GO TO SCHOOL IN BE SOMETHING IN LIFE BUT THATS NOT ALWAYZ TRUE HE CAN STILL STAY IN SCHOOL BUT HE WOULD HAVE TO COME HOME TO A BABY IN TAKE CARE OF HIM BUT I WANT TO KEEP HIM BECAUSE I WANT HIM TO STAY IN MY LIFE LOLZ
I thought the same thing - keeping the baby would keep the father in my life. It is the wrong reason to keep a baby. You are entitled to a life of your own as well. That is not a selfish thing. Adoption is the most UNSELFISH thing you could have done for your baby and yourself. I've been through it. The son I gave up for adoption is now 15 and respects me for my decision. He has known me all his life as his birthmother. My kids know him too.
This movie was my life when I was pregnant at 17. I have an open adoption, like Jacey, with my now 15 year old son. It was the best thing I ever did. My son's adoptive mom has watched this movie with him so that he can understand what I and his birthfather went through. Watching this movie brings all those emotions back to the surface. It's nice to be reminded.
Everytime I watch this movie I cry. I have seen it about 5 or 6 times. It is one of my favorites. They seriously need to play it more on Lifetime. If anyone knows if I can buy it either online or in a store please email me @ hicktowngurl09@yahoo.com. Lable it mom at sixteen. Thank you so much!
i cry every time i watch it....i absolutly love this movie
