This is the story of Luke and Laurette, star-crossed lovers who come from totally different worlds. Luke is the son of a wealthy family, who's left crippled after a car accident. Loretta's a money-grubbing girl from the wrong side of the tracks. They meet, fall madly in love and, despite his family's wishes, get hitched. But it's not happily ever after for the couple: They face a long and bumpy ride in hopes of building a new life.
