Hello everyone. I work with an organization named C.A.O.P. Civilians Against Online Predators. I am the C.E.O. and Lead Investigator we are not law enforcement but we assist them in anyway we can. Basically what we do is we are will create a fake online profile and account of a boy or girl between the ages of 10 and 17 and we go into chat rooms and wait for the offender to contact the decoy. Some chats are just friendly hello chats but when it becomes more then that as into asking where do you live can I see pictures of you and are they nude is when it becomes illegal and we contact the NCMEC aka National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. At anytime the F.B.I. has the right to come in and take any one of our computers to search for any illegal pictures. We do get a lot of Child Pornography reports to us and we just send them right to the NCMEC that is one thing that no one not even the local police can handle that all federal. If you would like more information please go to our website at www.ca-op.org and you can reach Investigations Department at 610-924-5709 Thank you everyone and remain safe online! :)
I have not seen this movie, but I have heard about it and its impact. My daughter is also 13, and I would like for her to have the opportunity to watch this story. Will it be on video or veiwable on Lifetime in the near future?
This movie makes me want to start trying to catch some of these low life pervs myself.I do not know how to get my local police dept. to take notice of this growing problem. I live in a pretty low crime town. My police dept.and DA are more worried about other things. My niece was molested by her Dads father. She finally got up the nerve to tell us.We reported it and went through all the red tape.We were told that he would spend time in prison. It took months and we left message after message for the DA. Finally we got a call, the voice said He took the plea deal. My sister screamed WHAT DEAL,we knew nothing about a deal.long story short. All he got for raping her on and off for 12yrs was probation for 10 yrs and sex classes. That is why I want to try to stop these FREAKS. She would love to help too.I know she would pass for a minor and she could get a since of some kind of justice for what she went through. She is married and due to have her own little girl anyday. The perv has been dead for a few years . He only completed 5 yrs of his probation.
I was never on the internet, but I was molested by family members (2 to be exact). When I tried to tell my mom, I was 8, she was more interested in keeping it quiet. It continued for 2 more years. Then when I was 14 I was raped by a friend of one of those family members, he was 21. I lost myself for years. I wanted to numb myself so bad! I wanted to forget. I became a different person. There was no way that I was going to be hurt again, so I hurt any man who wanted to love me. When I was 21 I met my husband who fought for me. He made me feel safe and that was big for me. We had our first son when I was 22 and then our youngest son when I was 25. I have been so terrified that something would happen to them that they were never allowed out of my sight. My family always teased me about it, and I never told what happened. That was until 2 years ago and I have talked about it, but that has made my life miserable! My family has disowned my and tried to distroy me. This has been the hardest thing I have done! I want them to understand and love me but instead they left me. I have even tried to take my own life it has been that bad!! My boys and my husband has been there to try and help, but I don't know how to let them! All I have wanted was not to let that happen to my boys and now that they are teenagers they want to be let to grow up and it scares me to death when they leave my sight. I just want to be strong enough to fight, but I will be walking somewhere and a smell will trigger some How do you fight?
I watched this movie yesterday, and as luck would have it, my daughter got caught texting on a borrowed cell phone, (after texting and her cell has been taken away from her) and when I saw the content on that cell phone I was astonished. My daughter will be 14 this month, of course she beleives she is much older. This movie's content is excellent and now I realize there is even more to add to the subject. There are random people texting random cell numbers now, asking them for information, it isn't just on the internet. I have been on the websites that are linked with this movie all morning. I wish I knew when it was going to be on again. I am on my way to talk to the school, (because a lot of this texting was done during school hours) and I have already put a call in to our local police department for youth services to try to get more awareness out there or become an advocate or something. Thank you Julie Posey and please make this movie available soon.
i have been watching this movie today and i have come to do the same thing as (Julie Posey) movie. My daughter has been on the internet and talking with some guys form Mcfarland WI, to Nebraska, Saltlake City, to Ashtabula Ohia. i have found that just going into the white pages and placing the phone # in that i can get the infomation about some of these guys. i have been doing a lot of searching about these predators that our children are talking to. you have to stay on top of it and talk with them. My daughter is 14 thinking that she going on 18. i have contacted the school and police. This Movie should go out to the Schools. Please release it soon on DVD.
