As Brad's marriage evaporates and the divorce proceedings begin, he realizes there is only one way to get full custody of his sons — kill his wife. But when Brad becomes the main suspect in his wife's death, the police begin to question his new girlfriend, Sara. Captivated by Brad's lethal charm, Sara defends him at every turn. It isn't until two years later that she realizes the truth and decides to get justice and go to court against him.
